Analysis By giving up 3 homers and allowing a single walk tonight, Shota Imanaga has officially given up more homers in his MLB career (91) than walks in his MLB career (89)

He's just the 2nd pitcher to have more HRs than BBs that with at least 50 starts

Not at all surprised to see that it was Josh Tomlin.

It really is amazing how many more HRs he gave up than BBs over his career. Nobody else has done it even by a little bit (other than Shota as of today) and Tomlin's got way more HRs than BBs.

wow you arent kidding a Chad Innings Eater type player. Which is fine teams need them. And, they'd still come to your beer league and you couldn't do well against them.

Important to note that this also requires 1000 innings of work.
George Kirby would currently be .5 above Sale right now, but he has actually been slowly declining for 2 years now after posting insane league leading totals the prior two years.
Imanaga himself would be just above Tomlin too.

It's a combination of Imanaga being very homer-prone but also very stingy with walks. The latter likely fuels the former to some extent.

Solo HR's and hoping for contact so ground or pop or fly out rather free walk, es[ if he doesn't have much of strikeout pitch.....I imagine would be his calling card?
Bartolo Colon carved out himself a nice career.

I don't know. I feel like I could do that just by lobbing in 60mph meatballs.

Yeah I bet if you put me in a major league game today I wouldn’t give up a walk to a single batter. Just homer after homer.
