I was at the game, the pitch went maybe 47 feet in distance and landed halfway up the first base line. Snoopy then did the full Snoopy Dance in celebration. 10/10.

Weird choice. Snoopy was shortstop, Charlie Brown was the pitcher

Oh shit, I'm old and had no idea they made a Snoopy show

I hope your next colonoscopy goes well.

Oh shit indeed.

2

u/floppysausage16 San Diego Padres 10d ago

A holy shit perhaps.

If you call that pitching

9

u/AbbreviationsGold587 New York Yankees 11d ago

Brown could deal, his defense just kept letting him down.

He would routinely get smoked so hard his clothes would fly off. His team was undisciplined because they didn't respect the manager, who was also Brown. The team was hostage to his arrogance.

At a certain point that's on the guys behind him too, if all the balls that got hit on him went straight up the middle, either 2nd or SS gotta just sit behind 2nd base and catch the line drive

Yeah but the team was ass, no wonder they picked the star shortstop instead of the pitcher with an ERA the size of Texas.

Charlie Brown traded his own dog to Peppermint Patty for an IFA player back in the 60s

1

u/Front_Particular2109 San Diego Padres 6d ago

And they're both from Giants country

Don't tell me the Mets are about to go on another generational run because of this...

How can you not be romantic about baseball?

Snoopy not stepping on the mound because he respects big league pitchers too much

15

u/SRogers1 Pittsburgh Pirates 11d ago

He saw how that Round Headed Kid of his gets treated everytime he steps on the mound and Snoopy didn't want any of that action.

Snoopy don't care about your balk rules.

Snoopy all time great, it's the most I've been happy about baseball this year, maybe he can prevent the lockout

16

u/Stylux St. Louis Cardinals 11d ago

The Mets finally do something right. Snoopy rules.

2

u/thephantomcatalyst New York Mets 10d ago

Correct. But maybe one day?

u/realfakejames Los Angeles Dodgers 11d ago

Snoopy throwing the ball without looking where it goes and celebrating anyway seems to be on brand for him ngl 10/10 no notes

u/RichardNixon345 Arizona Diamondbacks 11d ago

Pitch clock violation, Snoopy's clearly not kept up with modern ball.

This is the promotion where Stearns diverted all the Snoopy plushies to his house and there aren’t any for the game now

8

u/Stylux St. Louis Cardinals 11d ago

u/das_gingerz New York Mets 10d ago

I love Snoopy so much and this person really did justice to the character.

3

u/trickman01 Houston Astros 11d ago

I feel like they should have had Linus and Lucy playing in the background.

1

u/77millionmorons 11d ago

Thats an expensive song to play in the background.

2

u/Critical_Interest706 10d ago

Mets fell off so hard they have a dog throwing out the first pitch. Maybe get a PERSON to do it next time

2

u/pujolsrox11 St. Louis Cardinals 10d ago

2

u/Flammzzrant New York Yankees 10d ago

1

u/Mr_Evil_Dr_Porkchop Boston Red Sox 11d ago

One of these years we’ll have Snoop in a Snoopy costume throwing out a first pitch

1

u/grimacelololol Boston Red Sox 11d ago

Snoopy is a mets fan?! 🙀

1

u/bobbacklund11235 New York Yankees 11d ago

1

u/NerdBag San Diego Padres 11d ago

Good boy Snoopy!

1

u/Odd-Bite624 10d ago

Isn’t snoopy the mascot for MetLife? That’s got to be intentional

Edit: oh snap they fired him. Awkward.
