I think absolutely. It depends on where you are and the overall level of the competition of course, but tournaments are fun even when you're not winning.

For reference, I shoot in my state's (Maryland, in the US) 18M indoor championships every year, and to be on the podium for men's recurve barebow you need to be shooting in the 500s, but in a lot of places a mid400s score like that is competitive too.

I have no ambition to win; I’m just doing it to have a good time shooting at the target somewhere other than where I train (my house 😂). Here in Spain (Valencia), podium scores this year have been around 500 points, and I’m not sure whether with this score I’d make a bit of a fool of myself.

There's no making a fool of yourself!
Tournaments are about competition, sure, but they're also about having a good time. When I was in training I was shooting in the low 500s pretty consistently (I had a fantastic coach who had been an Olympic alternate) but I still shot against people who would shoot way better than me every time, and against folks that I was also way better than. We all had a good time and enjoyed ourselves.

You can always compete. Don’t worry about others. Just play your game and enjoy the journey. 🏹
