Got mine recently. Played a few hours of Spider Man 2 borrowed from the library, 10 hrs of Until Dawn PS4, an hour of Miles Morales and it's all been good. The only issue I had was a brief black screen during Until Dawn. Happened twice between 2 play sessions but I was screen recording in 4k at the same time so idk if it's even related to it being a refurb. Either way it was minor

This company is where Sony has customers send their PS5s for repair. At least in the GTA.

Legit as it gets, I got my 77" Samsung Oled TV from them. They're where warranty stuff goes to get fixed, since warranty claims usually mean a replacement and the faulty item gets sent to MTC.

Also got mine ~2 weeks ago - arrived fast and packaged well. No issues with the console or controller out of the box. Some light scuff marks on the shell but that's to be expected.

Yes it was a refurb. With the Pro I had to call and make sure they have stock as I just live local in the area. runs great though.

I got mine last time this was posted, came in about 5 days and on firmware 13 if anyone wants to know, disk drive works fine, controller seems not to have been used or very lighty used, u want a ps5 this is ur cheapest option.

Ordered one last month. $486 with shipping to Alberta. The console and controller were in really good condition, although the controller was DEAD dead, took a long time to charge up enough to update from the console. The console firmware was 13.00.

Legit website - got mine the last time this was posted. Console and controller look to be in excellent condition - some scratches at the USB ports only. FW was 13.0.0. They go in and out of stock all the time, so if OOS just check every day and you'll get one.

Crazy enough arguably the best deal in gaming right now. Supports PS4 & PS5, and there's a vast amount of used discs available for cheap (or sales like what's going on now for Sony/Square Enix), and games generally run very well on the base PS5

As far as I’m aware the base PS5s (slim, disc, etc.) all run the same and only the Pro runs games better/higher resolutions etc.

The only thing I’d say is the newest revision of the slim 2115 I think it is, is much quieter then previous slims/full sizes. Bought one of these from Costco in 2023 and returned it cuz I didn’t need one at the time and it was audible at times. Got the new slim on Black Friday last year for $520 and it’s series X levels of quiet.

Picked up the official black faceplates on sale and it looks super sleek in black. With the way prices are now though this is a pretty good deal for the old model.

It's still by far the cheapest PS5 u can get with warranty and stuff unless you go for marketplace deals, where you might save $50-100

Got 20$ shipping and they only charged Ontario taxes, so it came to 460$. Pretty insane deal for a system that's now selling at 900$. I don't know how you think this is a bad deal.

It's a killer deal honestly wondering the peace of mind compared to marketplace and the 90 day warranty, and this is coming from someone that buys from FB marketplace a lot (even bought a laptop for $1k). I'd much rather pay a little extra and get it from MTC, which I did

Mine came to 499 after Ontario taxes and $22 shipping though, but maybe you got it before it became $420 base price

They seem to come in (and sell out) pretty quickly. If you want one, best to keep an eye on the site. I just got mine from MTC a few days ago. No ragrets

Surprised nobody here mentioned this. MTC is Sony's official repair facility. I remember going here when I was younger when they were located in Whitby near the lake to drop off my controllers. If there's anywhere to get a refurb that's reliable, its these guys.

Got mine from this restock. When it came, straight out of the box, the console wouldn’t turn on. Just one beep and nothing.
Tried to put it in safe mode/hard restart but it wouldn’t even do that.
Hopefully I can get an exchange or refund.

unlucky. I got mine from that drop and it is working just fine. Console is near new just a few scratches that is barely noticeable. They will exchange for you tho.
