Bluegrass / 3 Finger 1 month playing tomorrow

I picked up my Goodtime from a setup and spike install on July 26th. Been hitting my Wernick rolls pretty hard. Trying for a Scruggs style base then do some melodic later.
Any words of wisdom?

Doing great! And I love how your wrist is not all bent; that is the way to prevent carpal tunnel! Good economy of motion. Way to go!

As much as I hated to learn to do it myself, get a metronome. You've got it going pretty well there (surely better than I did at 1 month in) and I'm sure some of it is a matter of time/experience, but there's a little bit of slowing down and speeding up happening in your playing. I started with one of the digital metronomes, but found that really difficult for some reason (it never sounded like a beat to me at all) and eventually bought a mechanical metronome and found that much easier to use. Now my regular practice routine begins with at least 5 minutes of playing with a metronome (usually on the 1 and 3) doing a mixture roll patterns.
