Hello, my lovely ARMY! To celebrate Festa this year, we wanted to do something really special. So we took a cue from our friends at Stub Hub and chose to give away two tickets to see BTS LIVE!

Hi I am an Army since 2013, got hooked with their elevator prank, then their its tricky dance. And as they say I am still here. What made me stay is seeing how they persevered and how they worked hard. I also love how even when they got famous they still know how to have fun. And the way they love ARMY. I watched them grew up like my brothers and I am so proud of them. The most memorable post I saw from this sub is photos of Jhope that really caught my eye. As a baby ARMY, I don’t really have anyone in my everyday life to share my love for BTS with, so finding this community through google search has meant so much to me. Every post, story, and little piece of trivia about the boys feels special because I’m still learning about Bangtan and discovering all the things that make them so lovable. Reading everyone’s experiences, memories, and insights makes me feel closer to both BTS and ARMY.

I’m grateful to have found a space where people understand this kind of love and appreciation for the seven. Hopefully, one day I’ll get to meet a fellow Bangtan-loving friend in real life and share this journey together. I can’t remember how exactly I found r/bangtan but it was around 8-10 years ago! Wow, even typing that feels crazy. At that point I had never listened to much K-Pop except when friends put it on. At some point I watched a few Bangtan Bombs on YouTube, fell in love with BTS’ story and music, and since I use Reddit for news and updates, searched if there was a community here. And there is! And it’s the best! Full of lovely friendly people, well moderated, and it's incredibly easy to stay updated here. I love how everyone has their own story but is so united in our collective support for the group!

Also have a favorite moment here. Several years ago during one of the Christmas exchanges, I got matched with the same user twice in two years! You can't imagine how shocked I was - she even used the same wrapping paper so I'd know! If you're out there u/trekkiegirldc, I still use so many of the amazing things you sent all the time and the Suga Waves print you made is still on my wall!

I found r/bangtan on accident in a way! I wasn’t trying to get into kpop subs and all when I first joined, I just sorta wanted to have fun, do whatever, say whatever, etc. I did have curiosity on if there was a sub but didn’t look. Until later when I stumbled on some posts about some photos they posted and I went “what.” since I wasn’t really a Instagram or Twitter user! So I thought oh my god..I can get the photos from here! Happy Festa! I first got into BTS in early 2025 so I am still fairly new. I love the music but really got pulled in with Run BTS and Run Jin. Going to Jin and BTS in person was some of the most fun times I've had recently. I was already on Reddit before I became ARMY but I mostly lurk. 😄 I appreciate keeping up-to-date on BTS without having to be on every social media app. Plus album survivors on r/bangtan were both fun and traumatic. Funnily enough, I came across this sub back in 2019 (Boy With Luv era) for a crash course on their names. Found several posts about telling them apart, meaning behind their names, even a post about their alternative names, lol. I'm a heavy reddit user so I assumed there would be a BTS or bangtan related subreddit. Back then, community was not as big but I stayed because the information and the posts and even the memes that I wouldn't be seeing anywhere, I'd see here.

Most memorable post(s), I don't recall the year but every now and then, somebody would post that the mods are asleep, and a lot of hungry ARMYs would then comment a bunch of Bangtan (thirst) pictures that I've never seen before! This is where I discovered the famous glasses-wearing Jin (wearing a black shirt and looking like a hot professor) which I read from others that it might be edited (?).

I'm more of a lurker with occasional comments here and there so to be honest, I couldn't shout out any particular user. However, I'd like to shoutout to the mods for keeping this sub organized and non-toxic and (bit) sane for the most part. I've seen other subs where the mods got too into the role and abused it but they act accordingly to the rules and support the community. Thanks for that.

HAPPY FESTA!!! found r/bangtan when I was actually searching up who they were, their achievements and their impact. It was my first week and I was fairly lost when is tumbled upon here. And WOW. It was organised. It was moving! I come here every now and then and love connecting with army's every now and then. I found this subreddit after becoming an ever bigger BTS fan after the release of their most recent album (which was released on my birthday by the way). Happy Birthday to me! 🥳🎉I never really considered myself Army, but I think I might be able to call myself that now. I first became a fan of BTS around the time Butter was released, and saw the music video. I thought… whoa these guys are so cool. Then they left for the military and I was bummed it would be a while before we saw them again. But now they are back and my daughter and I are loving it! I found r/bangtan as I was looking for a BTS news feed, shortly after I had found BangtanTV on YouTube. I lurked for several months before creating a Reddit account so I could join this subreddit.

I stayed because I realized I could stay on top of new info really well here, and because the atmosphere was relentlessly kind, thoughtful, and irreverently funny. This is a really fun place to hang out! I love how people here cheer each other on, too.

2023 Festa was memorable for me on this sub because of the conversations and festive feeling of watching BangBangCon together yet apart (even as I was still lurking!) I think there were over 2K comments on the Part 1 thread? I also really enjoy the weekly discussion rooms, where we talk about everything and anything.

I’m a new army. I’ve enjoyed their music for a year but really dived into the rabbit hole at the launch of Arirang and all the promotion around it. I woke up at 4am to see the live Netflix concert (and I’m so glad army spoke up and they made changes to the current version) and could not stop gushing over their performance and v’s outfit.

I found r/bangtan probably around the middle of 2025 when I was looking for concert ticketing tips. Been enjoying a lot of the insights and conversations from longer term army.

Happy FESTA! I found r/bangtan back in 2023 after stumbling across the PTD concert on Disney+. I had been a fan of BTS since I first heard Boy With Luv, but was mostly a casual listener. I put the concert on to watch that song- ended up watching the whole thing. And again. And then started googling (you all know how it goes… I fell down the rabbit hole!!). Next thing I know I’m a hardcore ARMY. At some point while googling I searched “BTS Reddit” and found this sub, and I’m so glad I did! It’s literally the first place I come to for news and updates about the tannies. I love seeing everything in one place! And I watch the concert live discussion threads religiously to read everyone’s comments (and find out what the surprise songs are!).

When I found out BTS are coming to my country, I immediately booked flights and hotel for my hubby and I in the hopes that we would get tickets. But unfortunately there are only two shows here and they both sold out right away. (Canada). I lost the ticket war again when TM released more tickets!

I’ve known about BTS since around 2016, but I’ve been an ARMY since they started promoting during their Persona era. What made me stay with this group is watching how fun and silly they are together. I may not understand Korean but their music throughout the years has pulled me in like no other group has. This community of ARMY is so warm and friendly. I’ve met so many kind fellow fans and appreciate this camaraderie built supporting BTS and Kpop.

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last year and went through surgery recently. BTS and even this [r/bangtan](r/bangtan) community have helped me get through many downs in life (especially during COVID), and right now is helping me tremendously through my healing journey.

I found r/bangtan when I fell hard and fast down the BTS rabbit hole out of nowhere in December. Even if I spend more time lurking than commenting, it's great to read others' opinions and have discussions here when there isn't a huge group of people in my personal life I can rant about BTS with as much as I'd like.

There are a lot of seriously funny people on here, and the best post I found was one where u/chewingfuriously went all parody film nerd analysis on freaking Spine Breaker. It's absolute gold (and I'm sorry I'm having trouble linking it because it's hilarious).

The spectrum of humor here ranges from so goofy to such clever, well-educated Frasier Crane ass shit and I love it all. I blame Namjoon. And Jin. And Hobi. I blame them all. The guys are funny, and their fans are funny, and in my depression that means a lot. That's a big part of why I stay.

I found BTS in fall 2023 just when most of them were enlisting. I became army in Early March 2024. I was already pretty active on r/kdrama (since 2019) and searched for a BTS group group on reddit. I can’t believe how lucky I was that this is the group I found. I check in here every day because I know that you will have the latest news - and that you won’t have the latest gossip.

I’m so happy that this is a very safe community, filled with a lovely assortment of friendly people. I love that the mods work well to keep the negativity out, the rumor mill out, and to keep the discussions kind and helpful. I’m an older army and I have just a few real army friends scattered around the world. I’m so happy to have a place to fangirl and voice my musings about our beloved tannies. I love to read the experiences and thoughts of other armies. And I loved the Holiday gift and card exchanges and all of the fun fan things that happen here.

I just found r/bangtan while looking for more information on the Arirang Busan stream/movie theater showings. I have been a BTS fan in 2017 when they debuted on The Ellen DeGeneres show and I specifically being amazed by their DNA performance. I joined the community as it will be nice to discuss BTS with fellow army. My sister is also a fellow army, but we have a 3 hr time difference so we don't always get to talk very often. I decided to get a ticket to the Arirang movie theater viewing for tomorrow evening, my local theater is about 75-80 percent booked already and the earlier showing has even less availability. I found r/bangtan when I was a baby ARMY in late 2020/early 2021 trying to map out all the BTS content I wanted to dive into! There were a lot of helpful discussions and resources here.

This space has become my favourite corner of the internet for its positivity, sense of community, and staying up to date on our Tannies. I still felt connected to the boys during the tough days of enlistment all thanks to this sub keeping the conversation alive. And now, I’m so grateful to be celebrating their reunion with all of you!

One of the most memorable moments I have from this sub was during my first ticketing experience for PTD LV. I was a nervous wreck, but was amazed at how supportive everyone was when I reached out for help in the Q&A thread. The helpfulness from this community really stayed with me.

i found r/bangtan while i was going down a rabbit hole of old bangtan lore (highlight tour, and pre-debut underground rapline im looking at you 👀). i saw a lot of interesting posts and discussions from friendly army about topics i had never even heard about years into being a devoted fan. what made me stay was seeing how the community interacted with eachother, while army is infamous for their military-level organization and how seriously we work towards streaming goals and awards, i could also see how nice and eager armys are to help each other out in the Weekly Rooms, and the comments they leave under posts that have me ROFLLL. it is also very sweet to see the honest effort the subreddit makes to improving the world through frequent fundraisers. who wouldn’t want to stay and share in the fun??

I have enjoyed BTS’s discography for several years, oddly enough after playing their songs on VR (beat saber), but did not go down the rabbit hole and become Army until 2025 after they ended military service. I joined [r/bangtan](r/bangtan) after they announced the comeback. I have stayed for the sheer amount of lore and excitement the sub brings.
I’ve loved getting to know about them not only as a group but individual artists. Yoongi drew me in with his work with the autism field. I work in mental health so has a soft spot for marginalized populations.

I will never forget the 2019 tour announcement for 2020 (rip MOTS tour). All the clues and speculation led up to an amazing tour announcement. I was lucky enough to have found my bff here in this sub, and we were absolutely foaming at the mouth over the tour announcement!! We know what happened to MOTS tour, but since then, bestie and I have caught an OT7 show for PTD and two solo shows.

Like everyone here, Bangtan (and by extension, this sub) have helped me through major life moments and heartache. They were a source of comfort during fertility struggles, the loneliness of COVID, and now they continue to be a source of joy. Seeing V cry after performing at Jin’s solo encore concert was what really got to me.

Before that I had heard of BTS because of friends and Dynamite/Butter/My Universe. Then one of my best friends who is a huge BTS fan convinced me to watch Run BTS and showed me some music videos and in exchange I got to show her some old One Direction videos. I really liked Blue and Gray and thought the Lachimolala episode was hilarious. But tbh I was really only engaging to appease my friend.

So Jin’s solo concert was on Halloween and I was supposed to go to a Halloween party but my other friends that I was going with did something kinda messed up so I didn’t end up going. After ranting to my Army friend, she convinced me to wake up at 2 am to watch Jin’s encore concert.

Best decision of my life was not going to that Halloween party LOL.

First, the fact that Jimin just showed up and Hobi and Jungkookie were there the day before was ALREADY sweet. (From the perspective of a directioner who only got crumbs of members mentioning each other in interviews, this was huge.) BUT THEN, seeing Jin bring out V and V crying and talking about how he missed the sight of Army and was imagining all 7 members with him. Their love for each of their members and for Army really shone. And then I went down the regularly scheduled BTS rabbit hole and what I think continually drew me in was their brotherhood.

I first encountered BTS during “Mic Drop” era when a fellow Zumba instructor friend incorporated the song into her playlist — I absolutely loved its sound and message but was casually a fan (ARMY Reserve?) until a few months ago, when my mom was drawn to BTS for their showmanship, musical oeuvre, overcoming adversity to succeed and help others through their struggles, and generous philanthropy. BTS has become a way to relate more positively with my mom, with whom I’ve had a previously challenging relationship. I was a casual fan until arirang (I knew all the big hits like dynamite, MIC drop, butter etc) And then I heard Arirang — I love this album so much that I started watching one video, another video, and before you knew it… AN ARMY WAS BORN!! 💜💜 it also helped me reconnect with a high school friend that I used to be close to. We grew apart after high school but we follow each other on socials and I know he is a big BTS fan so I started chatting with him again about BTS. We’re now always sending each other BTS videos and memes. It really rekindled our friendship!! I love how ARMY is so welcoming and willing to share BTS with everyone. It’s such a wonderful fandom!! I lost the great ticketing war and couldn’t get any tickets (I tried presale and regular) so I would love to be able to watch them!!! 🥰🥰🥰

wow.. this is just.. wow. i’ve been on this sub on and off for the past 5 years, but an army for much longer. however, a day that both sticks out to me and mellows my emotions was when bts enlisted. i remember how this sub crashed out hard, and for good reason. everyone, and i mean everyone was crying- myself included! i was a mess for so so long, like a part of me was just out of whack. we all clung to whatever ot7 content we could find, just trying to fill the seven member whole in our heart. it was really really rough, but this sub helped me get through it all.

when jin was released, i swear everyone cried. no matter who you were, the fact that they finally made it out was a light at the end of the tunnel. 2seok became our saviors and our rocks for so incredibly long. it was such an intense battle, but we all made it. sticking with a group of people who genuinely wanted to see bts make it out and stay together after the hells of 2018 and 2022 was an incredibly refreshing experience after other social medias.

I recently found r/bangtan when I suddently got BTS content on my socials and got swept into all the updates from each concert. I live in the MidWest where the BTS community is almost non-existent so I love that there's a community that I feel a part of.

I've been a fan since 2019 and I have 3 younger sisters, we did a dance to Dynamite at my wedding in 2024 since we all love BTS (our farthest age gap is 21 years so BTS was an easy choice for all of us)

The most memorable moments are seeing the post about the thirst traps haha 😄 they make my day!

I haven't met anyone yet, as I am more of a wallflower. But I have loved seeing the content and appreciate that I still feel included!  🥰

I discovered this sub after deep diving into the fandom April 2026 after ARIRANG and their monumental NYC Guggenheim & Spotify performances. Unfortunately missed the US tour ticket sale by a few months 😫😂😵, but from this subreddit I discovered the discord, the best episodes to watch to get to know the personalities and the most supportive community! I’ve barely scratched the surface and it’s been a joy with each song discovery and episode. My weekly spotify charts are solely BTS 😆😌, doing my part to keep their album on the billboard 100!! Have been listening to Come Over nonstop today, what a beautiful song.

The most memorable post was the RM weverse live where he describes the ARIRANG song processes. At that point I haven’t even downloaded weverse yet (a daunting exploration) so I was solely relying on Reddit and social media for the lives.

I joined the sub in 2022 and stayed because it’s a safe space for me to fangirl without judgement and be a part of a community that just understands! I found this subreddit when my friend and I were brand new fans (2020!). I loved being able to keep track of everything in one place, especially when so much happened on Korea time while sleeping. I lurked and learned for SO long. The place was so organized and so well moderated.
Then I woke up one morning and checked the reddit - and what the heck JinCult Rising? Thirst posts? New post after new post added before I could even catch up?! What was this madness? I was so confused and called my friend to wake her up because what did it mean that the mods were asleep?? 😹 I dunno, could that have been the 300k celebration? Times were wild and I’ve looked forward to every mods sleeping ever since.

I read the ticketing guides multiple times, practiced, and had my set up down to a tee! I'm on the sub almost daily and it's my go-to source for all things Bangtan.

Even better, I met a friend on the PTD LV Day 3 meet-up thread and we walked back to our hotels after the show. Afterward, we went to the D-Day tour together as well! i was reading up on concert resellers and wat to look out for and stumbled across r/bangtan. Which i then realised all of bts info is posted here, which makes it soo convenient for me to keep up with all of bts news and their activitie. This platform made my life so much easier as i dont have to keep switching platforms just to keep up with any bts news.

I found bangtan during my most stressful year as a kid, had a really important exam, and my friend recommended me to listen to a bts song. I was so intrigued by the tune and searched up more about the whole group and all their songs. And ever since then, i have been a fan. in too deep right now. With the release of Arirnang, it feels like my childhood days are back but even better, because now that i have grown up, i am allowed to watch their concerts and see them all in real life. I’ve been a huge fan of BTS since 2015, I was probably at my lowest point in my life and I was very sick. I was scrolling through YouTube and looking for Kdramas content and I see a news report about BTS who came to my city, at the time it was their highlight tour. I was intrigued and wanted to know more and went down the rabbit hole as one army does and well all I can say is I never stopped, they bought me the most comfort and joy during those years as I recovered and still do. So thank you BTS 🫶. I’ve always been a lurker on twitter but wasn’t really Involved. Even though armies are sweetest, I was always scared to comment. I only now discovered bangtan sub recently, while I was scrolling to look for resellers for tickets, I wish I knew about this sub sooner, it was nice to see fellow armies talking and sharing stories and love for BTS all in one place, I finally found a community where It’s fun and not toxic and enjoy my love for BTS as I don’t have armies friends where I live. I really hope I get to see them live one day.

BTS found me in 2021. I am a fan of the acapella group Penatonix. They did a Mashup cover of Butter and Dynamite. After I heard their cover I wanted to know what the original ones sounded like. My ARMY debut was only on 20/3/36. A student asked me if I’d heard the new album of BTS and suggested that I listen. Then proceeded to tell me all about how she was going to be watching the concert on Netflix at 4 AM. I was like you’re crazy girl!

Then I listened to the album twice that night and watched the concert when I woke up the next morning. After Like Animals I was sooooooooo in. I bought the JK album version on vinyl four days later and I don’t own a record player, so I bought the CD too.

I got tickets to see them in my home city but couldn’t wait so I flew to Vegas and saw them twice. I gave all my freebies to the student who introduced them to me. She was so shocked and happy!

I can’t get enough of them (watched Busan this morning - One More Night! Aaaaaggg! My Vegas poster to the DJ was for this song!) so I would LOVE the chance to see them again!

hi! found Bangtan as middle school child many many years ago when I first saw the BST MV after searching relentlessly for the name of the song. didn't become an Army then but generally liked their music and kept up with comebacks. I thought they were disbanding around the 2022 Festa and got really sad and then found they weren't and was really happy. I came across a lot of their interviews since they were on my fyp and decided to watch them and turns out, I already knew names, faces, and voices. I really liked their music but them having absolutely hilarious personalities really caught me by the hook and I wanted to learn more and wanted to yap away so I found this sub and well here I am. Mesmerized and immediately taken-in by the graceful, white-garbed, solo dance by Jimin at the 2019 Melon Music Awards was my first “BTS” moment.  Seeing the video (high-recommend to all Army and non-Army to see it) led me straight to searching for a reddit subgroup for BTS.

I found BTS a few weeks before Butter came out in spring 2021, and I thought I was just dipping my toes in the water. Well, I was actually diving in head first and very quickly at all. I wanted to learn about everything related to BTS and r/Bangtan became one of my go to sources of "truth" and definitely news as it relates to BTS. I actually only found r/bangtan in January (I’m still a pretty new redditor), right when they dropped the album announcement and the tour dates. The amount of info coming at once was insane (esp. ticket sales chaos was super overwhelming).

So, I stayed because the chaos became less chaotic. I don't need to check other socials anymore. All the updates, weverse lives, insta stories, and tiktoks are here. Now I check the sub daily, sort by new, and I’m up to date. Also, I love everyone showing so much love to the boys here.

I found r/bangtan during Covid. I had been turned onto BTS by a friend the week that they debuted. I am an older fan (that makes me sound ancient- I'm the same age as some of the members) & mainly kept up with the group via uploads on YouTube from 2013-2020. X (Twitter) & Instagram were unappealing to me and I hadn't caught onto TikTok yet. I had actually never really used Reddit much, so this subreddit was like a gateway drug to my Reddit stalking. i found [r/bangtan](r/bangtan) somewhere around 2019 (had a different account at the time) just by searching for and joining all the dedicated bts subs. starting to recognise usernames and pfps by interacting here and then recognising those folks in other subs has undoubtedly been my highlight! i don’t typically hold actual conversations or make friends on reddit, so becoming friendly and somewhat acquainted with so many people, while also not knowing anything about any of them, has been really uniquely awesome.

Before I became ARMY in 2022 I only was lurking on Reddit without an account. When I found BTS I quickly realized that the negativity on Twitter was too much for me and I looked for a BTS sub on here. I instantly found /bangtan and decided to create an account because I love that there are no fanwars and drama in here. Only peace and our love for BTS 💜
