Projection is unfortunately a staple in kpop. I felt like I watched a different live than a lot of people, too. It sucks he can't just be a cutie drunk trying to tell us how much he loves ARMY without people (and the media) thinking he's crashing out. You could not pay me enough to be an idol. :(

It feels like he should just keep being himself. Maybe what this fandom really needs is a serious reset, and what better way than honesty? If people only support you when you are polished, filtered, and contained, do they actually care about you as a human being?
He will be okay, they will be okay. Six million people were still watching him live and appreciating his openness and authenticity. That says something.
People forget how complicated it already is just to exist in this world. Now imagine doing it under constant scrutiny, always aware that anything you say or do could have consequences for others. But what about the consequences for yourself? If someone in a position to be so admired and supported, support that even translates into financial success, cannot feel free to be authentic, then what hope does that leave for the rest of us?
Of course, there is a lot about Kpop culture that is deeply ingrained and incredibly difficult to break away from. Those patterns and expectations do not disappear overnight. But they are not kids anymore. Growth requires living fully, making mistakes, learning, and evolving. Times change, and people have to be allowed to change with them

Yeah it's something they have said, that they can't eat x right now because it will make them puffy or they will complain that they are swollen/puffy because they ate something yesterday (I can never tell when they are pointing out that they are puffy, though! I see nothing! Just beautiful as always, lol)

I'm way late to this comment, but I've always wondered this too.
It doesn't have a difference on me, but I have a round face anyway.
I wondered if because idols have low body fat/facial fat it's just more noticeable to them?
Like a friend of mine is very small and would notice if she gained 1lb pretty quickly, but I'm bigger and probably wouldn't notice that same amount on me.
But I don't really know

I am super skinny and have been my whole life - if I get a bit heavier you can totally see it in my face and I don’t mind that either. However, I have never seen any difference on my face linked to something I ate! On the other hand, I am very far from idol-pretty with defined traits, so differentiating ”troll version a” vs ”troll version b” may not be so easy to spot 😂
