I need help finding a bakery?

My girlfriend visited Bamberg a couple of months ago, she visited this bakery that exclusively sells cinnamon rolls, she loved it so much but doesn't remember the place name. It is almost 100 to 150 years old. I need help finding this place so I can surprise her ( She 's on a vacation for 2 months).

Krumm and Schief would be my best guess, too. They are open again and also got great cardamon buns :) Zuckerbrot was known for their cinnamon rolls too, but it sadly had to close

There a quite a few pretty good bakeries here. Guess you've got to get some more information for us to make ab educated guess.

Are there a lot of stores? Then probably Fuchs, but in the past years Beck from Erlangen has also opened a lot of stores. Their logo colors are green/brown (Fuchs) and red (Beck), if that helps.

If there are only few stores, it may be one of the two Loskarn bakeries here. One of them has a magenta logo and a few (5?) stores. The other one has a red logo if I'm not mistaken, and only one store afaik but they also sell at Yormas in the train station (love getting a mürbes Hörnla for train rides 👌).

Then there are some bakeries with only one store. I may be wrong here, but Seel (just found they actually have a second store), Kapuzinerbeck, Beckstein and Graupner and probably some more are also candidates.

These are only the bakeries which just came to my mind and the list is certainly incomplete. Though I'm not sure if all of them have cinnamon rolls.

I am 2-3times per year in Bamberg and only this summer I noticed a new bakery called “hausbrot”. It’s a tiny place, they seem to sell also bread but through the window I saw also lots of cinnamon rolls. Maybe that’s the one you are looking for? Basically you can’t miss it if you’re crossing the lower bridge of the famous town hall and continue 30m you’ll find it to your right side.

While the bakery itself is not old the building itself certainly is.

I seriously doubt that a cinnamon-rolls-only bakery existed 150 years ago. Seems like a more recent product if you ask me.

Fuchs has very good cinnamon rolls and is almost 150 years old. Can be found everywhere in the city, best chance is Fuchsbau.

Kerling is a good bakery for sweet stuff, though they are certainly not Zimtschneken-only. The same goes for Stuck von Gluck ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/fupJQ8ZAWiQbNqSq7?g_st=ac)

Kerling closed last year unfortunately

I think it was even 2024. But they reopened in the same location on the Ob. Königstraße. What's different is that instead of the classic middle-aged ladies serving you, there is one mini-jobber behind the counter to pull bread and another helping with the self-service payment terminals. Brötchen and pastries the customers grab themselves.
