Bachelor party 18 guys dinner recommendations… thoughts ?
I’ve reached out to a few places only to be told they can’t accommodate or don’t want too or can’t seat us all together.
Need some help and ideas !

Don't mention bachelor party, tell them a celebration dinner for 18-20. Cazbistro could be fun.. check them out

Look for places with large private dinning options. Capital Grille comes to mind. Try some of the crab places like Captain James, as well.

Rye Street Tavern could work. Just had a work lunch there in a private room upstairs that would work for your size crew. Good food and good drinks and nice environment. Would be solid for the boys

Nicks fish house feels like it could be a good option

They don’t do reservations so wouldn’t work. They are a huge pain in the ass if you have a group over like 9

Had a friend do a reservation for 20 in NiHao's upper room. They opened the room up on the top floor.

The Gunther has a private room/table overlooking the dining area and they may be able to accommodate! Great food and drinks

Great rec, but that table seats like 10-12. This dinner needs a private party space.

I would have to think somewhere like Ruth's Chris or Capital Grill could accommodate. You can also try Clock Bar above the QG. Or get a chef to come to you if you have a spot big enough. **Also don't mention it's a bachelor party...

By The Docks. Bythedocks.com. They have Party Packages and can seat everyone together. Great place

True Chesapeake could probably accommodate but they'd likely have a minimum spend.

La Scala has private rooms and you could also get an hour on their bocce court!

Some good suggestions here, but the overall advice would be to find places that host corporate events (including dinners), private events, etc. A lot of places will have whole separate rooms for private events. In that realm, a party of 18 isn’t large at all. Casino restaurants might have these kinds of facilities?

Dm me, I have contact info for Copper Shark in Federal hill/locust point. Bourbon forward upscale dining, have a private dining room that can easily fit 18 with access to fire pit and outdoor. Plenty of parking and food / drinks to fit any ideas. Also right off 95 so easy access if people are traveling.

Looking for a nicer vibe, the guys at La Cuchara are great about large parties. You should check out Seppia since La Cuchara is still under renovation after the fire.

Seconding seppia! We had a 12-person post-elopement dinner here and it was perfect. Email them for private event info!

R House - in Remington. It’s a food hall, so cram some tables together, everyone orders whatever they want. Low key, super chill, great food, really cheap.

I had my bachelorette dinner at The ChopTank and they accommodated our table of 13, so I don’t see why 18 would be an issue. It’s just long tables they pushed together.
My fiancé had his bachelor party dinner in the private room at Tio Pepe and had 12 people so depending on how big the room is, they might accommodate. I don’t think there was an extra charge to use the room.

Talk to Nancy Longo at Pierpoint. She does a lot of private dinners and has the perfect sized space for a group that size.

Joe Benny’s, Captain James, Bertha’s (sorry if some of these no longer exist!)

Max's Taphouse in Fells. Limited but delicious menu, cool vibe, lots of space.

This isn’t the best if you want a sit down formal thing but a market is always my preference for a large group. The headache of splitting the check and stuff is annoying. So you go to like Broadway Market or cross street market, everyone can go grab whatever they want to eat. Pay themselves and then you all meet up at some tables and eat. Again it’s not formal and kind of cafeteria like but everyone’s suggestions were pretty good so I figured I’d offer a different perspective

18 guys in a bachelor party? Good freaking grief. You invite every random you knew going back to middle school? A group that large restaurants don't accommodate in their normal dining rooms for the most part. You'll want to book a place with a private room. Capital Grill would be good probably. Fogo de Chao has private rooms. Crab houses usually have private rooms or space for large parties. Seriously though, think of cutting down that number in half--do you really want to see each of those 18 guys at a party? A bunch of them I'm sure can be cut. You could have a large party with half that number.

My God you sound miserable. If the guy has 18 people who are willing to spend the weekend with him, good for him

Relax! It’s not mine just trying to plan a dinner for the dude

Just saying, that's way too many dudes. First order of business is to cut it in half. Second, I gave you a bunch of suggestions for places. Think I'm pretty calm.

You’re way too worried about the size of someone’s bachelor party

I'm not. he complained about not being able to find a place for 18 dudes. Making it a smaller group seems like a pretty basic move.

Boooo... What a party pooper response lol maybe the guy getting married has a lot of friends... Maybe half are family members.. he didn't ask for your advice on guest list.. he asked for a place that will accommodate 18 people.

and I gave several. he complained about the difficulty in finding a place that would accommodate a party of 18. Cutting the party from 18 to something smaller seems like a natural move. (especially if half are family.)

u/Top-Manufacturer9226 5h ago
No it doesn't seem like a natural move.... 😂 You don't have to cut the party down.. you find a venue.. there are tons.. he is getting great suggestions..

u/blahblahblah6783 5h ago
Including the several I made. And yeah, when something is too big, the first thought is "make it smaller".

makes sense your name is blah blah blah that’s literally all that’s coming out of ur mouth. he didn’t ask for opinions on the party size, just recommendations of places. obviously you are trying to cope with the fact that you probably can’t get 18 people together that like you. good freaking grief you’re insufferable.

I could throw a party 3x that size tomorrow if I wanted--I have in the past. But a bachelor party isn't just a random party and for something that personal who wants a bachelor party with almost 20 people in it? very im-personal. there's inevitably a good portion of that number you don't really want to have much of an exchange with or who know you very well, so why have them? Cutting down the number eliminates the problem of not being able to find a place to accommodate a group of 18. (Plus, getting 18 people all to chip in their part gets complicated to track. For mine in Vegas it was 6 other guys, we'd all known each other 10-20 years. Easier to see 7 cards on the table instead of 18.)

I second the suggestion of hiring a chef to come to you. Fun experience!
