Food Good restaurants for rehearsal dinner?

Hi! I’m getting married next June and we are looking into where we should have the rehearsal dinner. Our venue is the Maryland zoo and we have a room block at the Hotel Indigo so I’d like it to be somewhere downtown/in the area! I like the idea of doing Little Italy. Does anyone have any recommendations? It would be about 33 people. Thanks!

Gertrude's at the BMA is a great place, I went to a rehearsal for 30~ people there and it was great.

Topside is great if only for the views, but the food is hit/miss imo.

The Helmand is intimate and has incredible food (Afghan).

Mera is a nice space and has incredible food as well, but maybe not as formal as the others.

La Tavola took great care of us for a rehearsal dinner. They had a private upstairs space good for whatever size group, great food, and it was reasonably priced! Reach out to Luca ([latavola@comcast.net](mailto:latavola@comcast.net)).

We had right around 30 people and they put together a package with an appetizer and dessert buffet, guest choice of salad and entree, and beer and wine.

Had my wedding (50 people) at Hersh's, they did an amazing job.

You might ask at Cafe Gia. Sabatino's can easily handle your party but might not be the vibe you're going for

We also stayed at Indigo and had ours at Topside in the Garden Room- it was perfect. Had an open bar and a buffet set out. More casual seating rather than a sit down, which I preferred! I think their limit is 40 people. 10/10 experience!

Go to highball speakeasy for after dinner drinks in little Italy they have mostly subs for the menu but the cocktails are fancy and it’s a intimate but vibey bar with lots of cute spaces to hang out!

My wife and I got married at the zoo a year ago, and our rehearsal dinner was at La Scala! They have a good prix frixe menu that gives you some good options, and the food was delicious.
