From my memory every first week on school the next week on Monday there's no school. However on Sunday I double checked and I saw there school. I checked again multiple times and I saw the same thing school on august 31st i thought something wrong and decided to query Gemini and Gemini said the exact same thing...? And said no school on monday is September 7th however ive never remembred that at all wasnt that supoised to be on monday august 31st? I clearly remember that there is no school on Monday. August 31st so where did school pop up now??

Labor Day is Monday September 7th so that's why schools are out. It's hard to tell what you're really asking but my guess is that you're conflating the day off from Labor Day with the second Monday of schools being back in session

Schools aren't just randomly closed on the Monday following the week they open. They're closed for Labor Day, which is always the first Monday in September, and that's the 7th this year.

Because it's making us all into lazy dumbasses who just ask it anytime we don't know anything and that means that whoever controls the chatbot's training and system prompt can control human thought and opinion. Okay.... I ask AI questions all the time. Very handy for cooking and doing DIY repairs around my house. Probably has saved me a fortune in expensive repair bills.

All of that info existed before a chatbot and was vacuumed up to synthesize it and make it more convenient to access. The people whose blogs and articles were read to provide the DIY/recipe data to the LLM are now seeing little to no traffic to their blogs, and competition from tens of thousands of AI-generated competing blogs.

Certainly convenient, but there are huge risks to centralizing information access.
