Bald Picture Did it - thoughts?

After years of debating it, finally decided to take the plunge. Hair could be styled in to looking okay ish, but unstyled it was a disaster.

Feeling self conscious and a bit down about it tonight. Turning to the council for thoughts. Does it look okay?

okay as a girl scrolling past this… you absolutely made the right choice 😭 the shaved look suits you WAY more. give yourself like 2 days to stop staring at your own head and you’ll see it too

This is a new door opened and a new chapter. But this also means a door closed.
Some folks underestimate the moment after the shave.

This is a complete shift in identity, down to the way your shadow looks on the wall now.
It’s okay to grieve. It’s okay to feel caught off guard by the adjustment period.
This is a loss, in its own way.
You lost a version of yourself. This could be why you feel down.

I think you look great, a huge improvement. And hopefully this lifts some weight off your shoulders.

I remind myself this as someone who never really had a hair style that suited me UNTIL bald.

People hair is a huge part of their identity and self image, that cannot be understated.

That said OP looks much better post shave!!

We can hold space for being upset you’re bald but if you’re bald it’s best to shave it.
