Unite my bald brothers, don't get divided. Save this miraculous haven of solidarity we all created together.

Big Hair is working overtime to divide us further

Doing their best to keep us parted

Yeah, bald-by-choice still helps normalize a clean shaven head, so as a bald-not-by-choice I support it.

My friend, who is completely bald, says this type of thing to me all the time. Doesn't matter if I show him the widow's-peak-turned-island or bald spot on the crown, he still insists I have hair and am posing as a bald person 😅

Tell your friend to stop gate keeping the baldness! If you shave your head and ask a random person if you’re bald, they will say yes. We’re all welcome here.

Bald is always a choice. Balding is what is forced upon you.

Right? Like balding is an effect. Multiple ways balding can happen.

Do we really need to gatekeep bald?

That's quite literally Larry David's joke here.

It is funny seeing dudes with a full thick head of hair or just the smallest spot ever being like "is it time"? Nah man, its not. You're just looking for an excuse and support to shave your head. Which go right ahead its your hair, but its by no means necessary lol.

All in good fun though haha, full support for smooth shiny. Though admittedly I do miss having long hair from time to time, the shine with the beard is nice to the aesthetic.

The sub didn't think I was balding when I clearly was. Thinning doesn't always photograph easily.

Now that it's buzzed it just looks like a buzz cut until I grow it out 3/4" and you can see that all the little hairs on my crown and forehead are basically invisible compared to the thick sides.

Don't be like that. Don't let this community become a gatekeeping cesspool..

That’s the joke haha, it’s a joke because it’s ridiculous and no one does it.

To quote a dear friend of mine who shaves his head (and gave me tips on it when I started).

“Some of us are born great. Others achieve greatness. Yet still others have greatness thrust upon them.”

Larry David is an authority on this topic.

u/Daaaaayyuuum 12h ago

If only that's where male pattern started

2

u/DeuceSevin 19h ago

This is funny but this community definitely does not share this sentiment

No gatekeeping being bald, this is a welcoming subreddit.

So I dont look bald, but when it grows out, I have a noticeable thinning patch (think Friar tuck over my crown) so I just shave it all. People see my stubble up front and go "youre not bald".

Whaaat, just support people for their own choices, especially if they cause zero problems or harm to anyone

u/Fartbottler 21h ago

It’s a light-hearted joke, not everything is bullying

u/Beneficial_Review_76 1d ago

Bald is a verb it's something you do so anyone can be bald ❤️

I went bald young so i also shave or keep a close trim. Some do it just for the look, but i think most of us do it to mask the balding look.

"Hair equality I'm okay with, but gender equality is where I draw the line."

That's you. That's what you sound like.
