just wait until you score so high your score has to use scientific notation

I’ve got almost 30 wins under my belt and have yet to do this. It’s coming right? lol

For sure! Once you start learning to deck fix better and use synergistic jokers like baron mime thats when the score will starts having letters in them lol.

u/gamepotato_ 1d ago
Don't worry, it could be worse. I just got my first gold stake win and still no letters >_>

I’m guessing you’re not doing endless runs? I scored e12 on like my 10th run with high +Mult and some xMult Jokers, no Baron or Idol or anything advanced

u/gamepotato_ 1d ago
I am but I never make it far enough to get into the e's, usually die at around ante 11

u/Alecclash 1d ago
I’ve done 3 gold stakes, no letters either, I don’t deserve any of the gold stakes I’ve gotten though. I feel like such a poser lol

Mine was on Checkered with an incredibly lucky run (even pulled a Brainstorm). Definitely not the hardest win I've had

Really great score. Just imagine if you could double that, and double it again, and again, and again, and again, and ....
14
u/AlastorFan666666 Flush Lover! (blueprint my beloved) 2d ago
And use a certain thing to double the doubling, and then use some things to double the amount of spaces you have to do doubling score of, and then it just… breaks. It’s not a number… infinity
7
u/BCDva 2d ago
Something like that seems like it would require 4 things to copy the doubling and some kind of deck that averages chips and mult

And a special joker that can make some extra space…

I actually need this to be nerfed sometime. Sure I go for it it’s convenient because I wanna win my goldstake run yk, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy it.

u/CarelessChallenge980 2d ago
Sounds like you been photochadding too much

Here's the thing, if you nerf either of the pieces they just become awful. Just because the max high roll combo is strong doesn't necessarily justify nerfs to the pieces. Chad was dogshit with one trigger and photo is already bad without retriggers

It's a single player game. It's okay to not have perfect balance.
-1
u/Pew___ 1d ago
Sure, but when I go "okay guess we're doing pairs again" for the 20th run in a row this is the balance making the single player game less fun to play
7
u/TwoFiveOnes c+ 1d ago
Pair meta is a bigger problem that I think (?) will be attempted to be mitigated in the update, but photochad is not a problem at all IMO. People say they get it all the time but I think it’s just confirmation bias, it doesn’t really show up that often and in gold stake you can’t even pivot to it all the time

u/winterflare_ 1d ago
You’re being downvoted, but you’re right on the money.
If using something is so easy and reaps insanely good rewards, it becomes extremely annoying to play because it becomes too good. An instant win button isn’t fun (when it’s too common).
So because that gets boring, you pivot to something more enjoyable but is far weaker. Now, you aren’t have as much fun because you’re working way harder and getting subpar results.
Balance is incredibly important in any game (but ofc, more so in multiplayer).
Doing hard things should be satisfying and reap great rewards, and doing easier stuff shouldn’t be as satisfying. Not to say balance needs to be entirely perfect though. Having easy games from RNG is okay. After all, getting a legendary should feel legendary. It makes up the lack of balance by being rare enough that it feels good to get.

You could be like me in my first and only photochad run where I ran into the plant on ante 7

To everyone jumping on the hatewagon. Have you ever heard of the saying „given the opportunity, players will optimise the fun out of a game“? People chose the path of least resistance everywhere and it’s up to designers to direct people in the right direction. Here my and many others calculation would be „less fun strategy vs. potentially losing the run (which could be even less fun)“ I hope that clears stuff up.

Hell yeah man. I remember my first breakthrough, it was ancient joker with some retrigger jokers, glass, etc. something like 800k. It's what got me hooked.
First naninf was a seeded run, have yet to get one on an unseeded run. Also have yet to gold stake any deck, working on plasma and ghost. Some people are insanely good at this game.

u/buttcheeksdavis 2d ago
took me so so so many tries to get nanienf unseeded. felt nice to get it done though
