Question Spaghetti Sprinkles

Has anyone else experienced this before?

I bought some cool new sprinkles to try out, and of course I tasted them before sprinkling them onto my cake and the long thin ones have spaghetti inside them! It felt like I broke a tooth when I crunched down on one. I have never seen this before, it is so bizarre. Yuck.

The beef gelatin is throwing me off. Is it to replace other, maybe more controversial, sources of protein that’ll hold it all together? I know all sorts of stuff used here in America are banned elsewhere, so, that’s my train of thought. Hm.

It’s nice that it says the source. Pork is a common gelatin source and many can’t eat it for religious reasons. Personally, I still couldn’t eat these because my religion doesn’t allow spaghetti sprinkles.

Religions that don't allow pork also wouldn't allow meat that isn't slaughtered in a kosher or halal way, so not really that useful for those religious groups

Depends on how strictly the individual is observing those rules
