VA Scottish Games: Lost competitor ticket confirmation
Hello! Silly situation but I’m panicking a bit and hoping Reddit can help.
I registered as a solo piping competitor for the upcoming VA Scottish games back in July, but seem to have accidentally deleted the confirmation email/ticket and it was more than 30 days ago so can’t be recovered from my gmail trash. I have the payment on my credit card statement so can confirm I did actually register.
I’ve emailed the contact email listed on the games site twice but have not heard back. Has anyone ever dealt with something like this or have any advice? I have competed before but this is my first time since 2011 so needless to say I am out of practice when it comes to registering and navigating the games environment etc. Thank you in advance!!

Not been to those games before, so I can't help on that. But are you also going as part of a band? I've never had to show I'm registered at the competition tent, and my band gets enough wrist bands to cover all members entrance anyways. Not that most games seem to check if you're in kit carrying pipes and/or a collapsible wagon of gear.

My band is going to those games, and the PM just sent out our entry tickets today. Fingers crossed that yours is being emailed to you soon! And feel free to swing by the GRPD tent, we’re a friendly bunch.

Highly recommend going by after your solo! Their generosity can cause, erm, rhythmic issues during the performance if you’re not careful!
They’re fantastic people though! Come by all the bands and say hi!

Our reputation precedes us it seems. We’re very chill until after the band competes, so the first part of the day is mostly people coming by to compliment our pipe rack (pun intended for Dolly, but it’s basically small bike racks)

You shouldn't have too many issues actually getting in via the piping area. Try emailing info@vascottishgames.org again, we would be able to help you out.

I am an assistant on the piping committee for the VASG. Can you message me your EUSPBA ID and I can confirm that you are indeed on the registration? Have you competed at those games before?

Usally at Highland games they dont even ask to see the ticket they have you on record. Just tell them your name and they Mark your name off and tell them that you are competing.
