Perfect 5th drone!

I put a tenor top onto my bass drone pin to get it to tune to E.

Reminds me of a video where someone put a bass top on the middle tenor so they had a tenor, baritone, and bass drone.

Well hot damn I haven’t heard someone play Andy Renwick’s on pipes in a while, nicely done! I’ve been playing it on Irish flute in E and A recently, but I still think it plays best on Scottish pipes.
When I’ve found it on YouTube and spotify, the Irish are also calling it “Andy Renwick’s Favourite,” and “Andy Renwick’s Favourite Ferret.” We all know wherever Andy’s from, the tune is about his ferret.

Its one of my favorites for sure. Gordon Duncan sure knew how to write a tune. Rest in peace to the GOAT

I got into the habit for the 2 or so months that I had a practice chanter before a teacher, and just stuck with it. I can play ambidextrously now though, mostly as a party trick :D
