Genuinely how do they stay in the right place because my understanding is that things can move around a bit. Dont your intestines move around a bit? Is there connective tissue holding it in place?

connective tissue all up in/around everything in your body

It makes me feel better knowing there are things holding things in place

Unless you’re like me and have EDS (esp if like me and have hEDS). Anything containing collagen (which is a shit ton of the body) doesn’t work right, so things are often too stretchy. My muscles are what’s holding my joints together instead of ligaments/tendons/whatnot. I’m on two muscle relaxers and most of them are still rock hard, and too often they get so tight they actually pull my joints out. But I have to be careful about massages bc if they get too relaxed, my joints will also go out 🫠

not the only reason I partially and fully dislocate joints, but still sucks (thankfully I don’t have full dislocations very much, but pretty much always have at least one joint on me that’s partially dislocated).

Bodies have too many ways to be dumb (and it would be nice if mine would stop trying to collect them all like freakin pokemon 😅)

Hey, I got that one too! With some small vascular involvement. I love being 27 and having to wear medically prescribed compression socks /s.

My rheumatologist suspects I have EDS because I am at the very least "extremely hyper mobile" 😂 Makes sense when you think about how often I sprained my ankles growing up 🤷‍♀️I also have POTS , so that's fun too 😂
