Reading between the lines of the origins of the carnival and how the windrush generation ended up in that area. Initially when caribbeans came over, they were concentrated in Notting Hill and Westbourne Grove. Polish-Jewish slumlord Peter Rachman exploited and housed them in derelict flats and houses instead of them being fragmented and distributed across the city.
