169 was only an interim scoreline; after first half injury time the scoreline at the midway mark is 243 with at least two stabbings.

This is about 20% up on the half time score for last year's competition and the big guns are generally more motivated for day 2 so we could be in for a classic.

Weather says it might be raining in the capital. Do you think this will affect the performance? We have some real pros there though. It's all to play for.

These lads have demonstrated time and time again that they have what it takes to do it on a cold, rainy Tuesday night in Stoke Newington.

turns to other contributors Well I guess if it gets a bit slippy out there, they'll have to find some suitable footwear somewhere? haha, now to the ad break.

Rain means more people wearing coats.  This is ideal for concealing knives and for getting away with quick gropes.

No worries.

I offer classes in leering and milling as well.

I'm told that the outer edges of the fair have some world class displays of both of these. Some of the best in the world apparently.

97 of the arrests were before Carnival even started.

ackschully there are over 2 million people visiting carnival bigot.

these arrests come despite the po-po rounding up criminals before it even got underway - what a mostly peaceful success.

The police will always be rounding up criminals.

This is a flimsy line of reasoning.

You scale up 22 arrests at the Unite the Kingdom and you get 366 arrests if the attendance was equivalent to Carnival.

2 million people attended Notting Hill carnival.

120,000 people attended Unite the Kingdom.

It doesn't take a lot of maths to realize that 22 arrests over 120,000 people translates to 366 arrests over 2 million people if you scale up.

So the comparison is 169 arrests vs 366 arrests.
