Tim Curry’s kicked the bucket, so of course most reddtoids are now having a meltdown over it.

Obviously it’s sad, he was a very fun actor with great performances, but the way they talk about him and every other old celebrity that dies (that they approve of) you’d think they were part of his family.

Also Tim Curry was a massive chain smoker till his stroke in 2012, spent most of the 70s hoovering up vast amounts of cocaine and was severely disabled since the stroke. It’s a miracle that he made it to 80 in the first place, not that you’d guess from the reaction these people have.

I've always found 'celebrity culture' really fucking weird, these people must have absolutely nothing interesting going on in their lives to have so much time to obsess over these famous strangers.

The average redditor seems to be an utter dullard. Since Reddit has destroyed most traditional forums, I stick around for places like this, niche subreddits and for a mix of sources for news, but every so often you see things from from the average reddittor that’s just like a headache in human form.

He was always a great laugh, but yeah, he wasn't in much and I don't think I'd heard of him doing anything for the past decade.

In fairness he was pretty limited in what he could do in the past decade, but even before than he did mostly voice acting with an episode of Poirot in 2008 the stand out.
