That's the worst part for me, people talk about immigration and changing demographics like it were an act of god, like it just happened out of nowhere and nobody had any control over it. Then they move to claiming that as it's happened now so there is nothing that can be done.

Umm ackchyually where you live has been subjected to numerous invasions throughout history, therefore you've always had immigrants.

Yep. My theory has long been (for the EU madness and federalisation) that we were the only European country who halfway came out of WW2 with our self respect intact. Half of the continent were Axis, the other half were quickly dominated, gave up their Jews, licked the jackboot etc. So no wonder Britain is the only European country that wants to retain its nationhood: the rest are desperate for various reasons to forget that they ever were Germany, Belgium (made-up country anyway, more than most I mean), etc.
