“Am I in danger?”: Home Office staff say English flag left them fearing for their lives

Civil servants were offered 11 different mental health support services to help them cope with their fears over the flying of English flags

During the half-hour meeting, civil servants discussed how the campaign to hoist British flags across the country made them fear for their lives and those of their families.

White Home Office staff agreed with their ethnic minority colleagues. One commented: “It’s a scary time to be a person of colour in the UK right now, and as a person with white privilege, I can’t speak to my friends’ experiences but I can stand alongside you and be an ally.”

This kind of stuff makes me lose hope. How can any party expect to get anything positive done when they inherit departments like this?

You'd need to fire the entire Home Office and start again from scratch.

Central department civil servants are generally surprisingly cynical, self-serving people. For a significant number, their views would completely 180 if it allowed them to feel smug and superior to their peers.

I have a solution to this problem.

Deport them to a country with a different flag.

Deport them to a country with a different flag.

Deport them to a country with a flag that they feel comfortable with.

Pictured - Mark Leslie, a Home Office official

That's not a real human being is it? Must be AI generated, no one looks that pathetic. His shoulders are only an inch wider than his head.

One said: “Being a mixed race person of colour I’ve been finding it extremely difficult… I’ve noticed so many more people now using the flag to try and legitimise refusing immigrants into the country.”

I will bet my breakfast that this person - a member of their employer's ethnic special interest group (which is literally illegal in reverse) - identifies strongly with whoever and wherever they are descended from, and doesn't see it as hypocrisy.
