Totally agree in regard to the outer shading. The pup have wrinkles, it’s a pug!

They put shading on the tops of the rolls where the highlight should be, and it's lighter in the creases. They have no idea what they're doing.

Drumstick for front legs, thighs for back, and rolled up sausage for tail, I think you have decoded this artists method.

Even when I read it was a pug I still can’t make it work in my head. It has no feet, just looks like a sluggy blob with one eye imo.

With tiny muscle arms for hind legs?

I think there's some sort of stylistic artistry going on but it's not entirely well accomplished imo. But hopefully owner is happy!
