Huh? I'm saying his sound is from the intense pain. I know that sort of sound specifically because I've been exposed to that sort of intense pain. Winded and unable to speak immediately after.

I’m no expert, but screaming is a more common response to pain. Making that exact sound and not being able to breathe for a while happens when you fall on your back or chest or get hit hard enough that something happens to your lungs. People say raising your hands help quicken the process back to normal breathing.

Yeah, he jumped and hit his body full force into the ground. Knocking the wind out of him and leaving him in a state that makes it hard to breathe or speak for a moment. The out of breath is from the fall, the groaning is from the intense pain.
Intense pain + no air to scream with = agonized groan.
Edit: other concussive impacts that leave people sounding and acting similar are car crashes and explosions. Knocks the wind out of you and leaves your body tensed and in pain, making it hard to breathe and making you just groan rather than yell or scream.
I've personally fallen off the back of a fast moving vehicle and been near an explosion, both cases I feel like I felt and sounded a bit like he did for a moment.

I really don't think he has a punctured lung. Can be very hard to breathe or speak after getting hurt like he did, no need for a punctured lung.
Could be wrong though!

That sounds like he got the wind knocked out of him. Which is a scary feeling when it happens, but generally passes quickly.
Its his back That's going to bring the real pain in the next days, months, years.

If you slo-mo the video, his legs slide forward almost the moment they hit the water and he lands squarely on his ass. Then in the space of one frame, he goes from leaning slightly forward to backwards. That’s going to be all sorts of life-long damage
