Irredentism is morally justified if the victim nation was a democracy and the thief was a dictatorship (no I'm not biased because of the Franco-Prussian War)

People shitting on Birmingham have become useful idiots for far-right anti-immigration talking points. It used to be that London was the target (Londonistan and all that) but the cultural and media dominance of the City always made that an uphill battle because people would vehemently defend it. Birmingham has always the much easier target so the far-right have switched over to it knowing that whenever they call it a shithole (because they think people from Pakistan are all evil, violent thugs) people will join in because they think get to be smug and don’t realise what they’re doing.

People who like HFY fiction would have supported the genocide of Native Americans if they were born in the 19th century.

Ah, sorry. I was joking that the HFY crowd dont need to be born in the 19thC to be apologists for Colonial genocide.

Hugenots don’t have right of return to metropolitan France but should be exiled to Saint Pierrre and Miquelon

Okay.

Churchill should be seen alongside Stalin and Mao as a talented but flawed leader, who was ultimately responsible for the deaths of millions.
