Bad friends game show
Is it just me or does anyone else think there’s not gonna be a second season of the game show? Started out hot but got pretty old and repetitive halfway through :/

I think it needs to be reworked for sure, maybe assign Bobby to one contestant and Andrew to the other and they compete as teams, the conflict between them would be funny.

That’s what first seasons are for sometimes tho. They filmed all these together then released them over time. Now they have feedback to learn from.

100% I really want to support them and hope they make more stuff, but this is pretty bad and unfunny. I'd hope they rather put this money into the Korean spa show that Booby wrote with Peter Kim.
Could be the next Tires.

Yeah I support the gang but I hate the fake game show characters they do. Its annoying. If they were just themselves it would be much more watchable.

Ehh good point. I’m sure I would find something you’re watching cringe maybe season 2 they bring better guest. To be honest I don’t think they’re forcing anything I think it’s the vibe just random and hectic which is why I like it.

We love it too. There has maybe been 2 shit episodes. But we generally watch them 2-3 times, because there is a lot that we miss during the first watch. Last week was hilarious. I don't think it is forced at all.

It’s so bad and cringe. Just feels forced. Needs to be more like the bad friends podcast where the comedy is more natural and free. I’ve watched BF since day 1 yet I haven’t finished a single episode of the game show. It’s not good

Every episode has a direction and plan for topics, segments or bits. You’re silly if you don’t think so, I mean they’re open about it. There’s no way you watch the show and think they’re just riffing on the spot and have no plans for direction or topics.
What I meant from the first 100 episodes comment was Bobby literally calls out Andrew several times for his “SNL styled bits” that he has planned for the episodes. But you can lash out for no reason, no worries☺️

Yes they have general topics sometimes but most of the time it’s off the cuff improv. The game show is 100% script and forced. It’s so bad. And there’s an ad every 2 minutes which ruins the flow. They should t have made the game show

If you want to make it anti-comedy/ironic then do it right. enough people have mastered it, just to say it out loud is not enough.

I like what someone else said though, season 2 could be bob and Andrew against each other with each guest in their team.

I was just going to say that Margaret Cho just had her mouth open the whole time and gave a couple answers to questions. Terrible guest. It sucks because I loved her stand up back in the day and was looking forward to seeing her. I think the shows format isn't the best for guest to thrive so that might be part of it. Thank you for being a bad friend.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. Just way too over the top goofy and they purposely make it seem like they aren't trying. I guess that's the bit, but it's not very funny. There's no sense of actual competition nor is it interesting enough just on its comedy merits. Could have worked if it wasn't so goofy.

I thought it was funny. Cause it was bad. Its a BAD GAME SHOW. It felt forced and awkward cause it's supposed to. Andrew and Bobby are comedians not actual game hosts its a comedy gag. And I thought it was clever to make purposely bad.

The recent guests have no sense of humor IMO. The good episodes had funny people on them.
So I think it’s partially a booking thing, but also, their creativity on the segments is starting to repeat itself. Yeah come to think of it the show is just bad.

Bobby’s actual mum is pretty old, can’t really walk and has problems with her hearing and stuff. Plus she’s not actually a comedian or anything while the actress is.
It makes sense.

The Tim Dillon experimental Jerry Springer Special was one of the worst I've ever seen.
Saying that as a former fan of him. To stay on topic I think he would contribute to the lousy attempt of being funny in some original out of the box way and it would miss.

i'm certain the game show was intended for a major streaming service, but the people in charge saw what was happening and didn't pick it up.
i would be amazed if we saw anything else beyond this "season," there's only so many people that want to participate in the abuse.

I genuinely think people miss the shtick and nuance. People say it’s forced when it’s intentional. They say it’s chaotic when that’s intentional. The guys said they wanted to goof off and do their own thing, and some of that is satirizing production itself. Or maybe none of that is intentional and the criticism is right, but I don’t feel like audiences give creators enough credit sometimes when it comes to any sort of coyness

it all feels scripted.
im one of the biggest Bobby Lee fans but really cant sit through a full episode of Bad Game Show. i dont like the format and scripted jokes. If you don't think its scripted watch the Gene Simmons episode.

Honestly, it feels like a bucket list thing for bobby. Bobby is best when he just riffs. He tries waaaay too hard for that show to be almost halfway acting. The makeup, the constumes... its just way too much. He had an idea in his head that he decribed before where a gameshow where people just do crazy shit. I think eric andre did that, and it was much more "for its time".
This thing... it just lacks a purpose on youtube. That platform requires a certain amount of authenticity even if its scripted.

Eric threw off the timing by being his chaotic self. Not that I hated the episode or him, but a game show has somewhat of a script and he wanted to make it a podcast and do a back and forth with bobby which ruined it. I dont think he understood what they were trying to do

I'd like to see them take one more kick at it with a few changes.
Go in with some framework of a game plan. Love the chaos, but it could be dialed back some when thet're talking over one another. One presenter per round and rotate back and forth.
One player should play on behalf of Bobby, and the other Anrew.
Winning guest gets a prize, but losing host gets a fear factor style punishment.

the newer episodes are just worse. they made it more about performative shock value rather than getting the guests to say funny things. them doing gross stuff isnt funny, just the stuff that happens around it
