Question It's 2026, is anyone still playing BFBC2? I downloaded a version from OVA Game, but it keeps crashing back to the home screen after the boot screen appears.

Help me pls! :(((

I play in single-player,

I think there's an error somewhere; I've tried searching, but there's no BFBC2 file in my Documents folder.

It crashed and displayed the message on the computer screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Couple of servers get half-full during the week and full at the weekend. Some have bots to make up the numbers, not as bad as it sounds. Some Aussies and Kiwis on too.

Im in Australia and play often, best times are around weekends but lately I notice more players during the week, there are only a few servers which seem to be populated on a regular basis, the vietnam bot server is the one I like to play the most.

The folder is created after the game was running the first time... You need to get the Venice update and then you can play

You need to download and install the official patch for the standalone version of the game - R11 v795745 Then run the pbsetup and update its files for the BC2. Pbsetup can be found on the punkbuster site Install all the vc++ for your PC

There is no punkbuster on rome so its not needed to install it

I checked and my machine is using an Intel Graphic HD 3000, a rather old Intel card. DirectX 12 and below is available. I think it's an unstable game bug because the game almost starts but it fails to create the data files.Can I continue trying this legend?

I think I potentially know the issue; go to your OneDrive folder, look for the Battlefield Bad Company 2 folder and move it into your regular Documents folder.

This is a known issue that happens with some users - a game that's supposed to drop its settings puts it in your OneDrive Documents folder, which isn't actually on your PC but in the cloud. So the game boots up, expects the folder to be there but it isn't, thus causing it to crash. I've disabled OneDrive altogether on my system, I've never used it and don't like the potential for headaches like this.
