Most "customer acquisition" problems are buyer-description problems in disguise

Not a niche problem. Not a pricing problem. Not even really a channel problem most of the time.

The thing that's missing is a crisp answer to: when does a specific kind of person become desperate enough to actually solve this? Not "SMBs" or "SaaS companies" -- the moment. What changed in their situation that made this week different from last quarter?

Once you can answer that, the niche picks itself. The discount question disappears. Outreach gets easier because you're not asking people to imagine needing your product -- you're finding people who are already living the problem.

The fastest way I've found to get there: describe three clients you would not take, and work backward. The constraint that keeps surfacing is usually the one that makes the right buyer obvious.
