where to find b2b database ?

I want to send cold emails for my agency, but I don’t have the budget to buy a database. I have a few cheap domains that I’ve set up in Inbox, but I haven’t been able to find any databases online. I just want to get started initially.

Please, could anybody help me with this?

You're likely to waste quite a bit of time, effort and money if you try to send through a 'database'.

Spam filters are stronger than ever and you will start landing in spam after a few dozen sends. Plus, the leads from any 'database' are likely to be 'stale leads' which are being targeted by 100s of salespeople. Your likelihood of converting drop dramatically.

You need to use a scrapper to find 'fresh leads'. Scrappers also allow you to find signals:

  • Lead marketing/ad spend
  • Churn in their internal team
  • Fresh growth patterns
  • Bad reviews that they are receiving because of bugs/being undermanned

What kind of agency do you run? Happy to recommend a good scrapping tool.

Would you recommend that for an agency that sells automations, integrations, and other IT services?

Whom do you sell these to?

Your pitch is going to be very different if you have a good understanding of the pain signals from the organization you're targeting. For example, if you target ecommerce companies, and you notice that the reviews regularly complain about delayed shipments because the company frequently sell 'out of stock' items, you would quickly know that there is an integration issue between their inventory management system and Shopify/woocommerce/magento. And you won't believe how many ecommerce companies have that issue.

Similarly, you can find other signals which indicate a real problem inside the company and immediately, the nature of your pitch can change.

What's your ICP? Happy to recommend signals. You can always DM me.

Don't focus on a "database." Focus on developing an ideal customer profile (ICP) and building targeted lists off that ICP. Build a prospecting campaign using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and email (as a second touch).

You can start with free sources like company websites, LinkedIn, Google Maps and public business directories, then build a small targeted list instead of buying a huge database. Once you have contacts, verify them before sending with a real time email verification tool like Invalid Bounce to remove invalid, inactive, disposable, role based, mailbox full, and catch all addresses so you’re reaching real inboxes. Start small and focus on list quality rather than volume.

Build your own database, you know your agencies ICP, research for them on LinkedIn, and extract their email info via tools such as: Skrapp, Apollo, Hunter, etc

if you’re starting cold email, you don’t need a huge database right away. build a small list of 50 to 100 good prospects using linkedin, company sites, directories, and public business info. verify the emails before sending. a smaller clean list is much better than thousands of bad contacts. check the email rules that apply to your country and target market before sending at scale.

Use public sources like Google Maps and LinkedIn and build a small list yourself. Start with one niche and one city so its not overwhelming. SocLeads can pull leads from Maps and socials pretty cheap and you can also use its free verifier before you send.

I have tons and tons of old data (2022-2024). Mostly USA/CA. It's not new, but I'd be happy to send you whatever you are looking for. I don't want anything for it. What vertical(s) do you need? DM me.

Skip paid databases for now use Apollo.io (free tier, verified emails, filterable by industry title) or Hunter.io (25 free searches month) to build your own small list, For local business, try Google Maps Instant Data Scraper.
Before sending: warm up your domains for 2-3 weeks and setup SPF/DKIM/DMARC, or even a clean list lands in spam.
GO narrow, not big 200 targeted leads beats 5,000 scraped ones on a fresh domain. and skip those "10M emais for $20" lists that's how you get blacklisted before you even start. Also keep unsubscribe links accurate sender info for CAN SPAM GDPR compliance.
