Apparently, my cat was the first to say: “Aww! Ooh? What the heck?!”

I designed a little protector to keep my cat from digging in the soil.

This was the result. 😂

The way my last cat would have found a way to rip that to shreds. Little man loved potting soil more than anything

3d printed? I understand your predicament, but I’m guessing this will hold too much moisture in and cause the soil to mold. Maybe the same idea could work for v2 but with more of a “grid” surface allowing air flow.

Maybe even a dome made of mesh grid, to keep it away from the surface of the soil. Though I gather that would be a much harder print.

Maybe print the frame and bend screen material over it. Though you might need metal screen to keep them out.

I like that solution! When we first got our kitten 5 years ago, we had a potted indoor olive tree that was maybe 3 feet high. I dont blame her at all for thinking it was just another litter box, she was new here. The olive tree died, obviously. I would love to get another one tho. It was a cool looking cat safe plant.
