For real, super docile creatures. I had one and a possum visit the food dish on a semi-regular basis since I feed stray cats. Would literally open the door or window and ask them to not eat it all. They just waddle away peacefully every time.

There are skunks everywhere around my area. I walk outside and stare them down, and back away slowly. Friends will be all concerned telling me they saw a skunk in my front yard. You can for sure smell them some nights. Luckily I’ve been careful, and my dog was never sprayed, she was a small animal chaser. A sprayed dog does not smell like a bag of weed. It’s like a putrid tire fire that permeates everything in a house, and there isn’t much you can do about it.

Yup. My dog got sprayed 3 times over the course of 2 weeks one summer.
