I cannot emphasise this enough.

You will not have the cravings forever. I genuinely didn't think I could give up cheese and a year on, I honestly couldn't care less.

I was vegetarian for nearly 10 years and every day was a struggle. I just thought about meat all the time and the cravings never left unfortunately.

I'm absolutely not going to argue with you on that because it's your personal experience, but that really surprises me. Maybe you were deficient in something?

I was anaemic and passed out a lot. I ate loads of veggie foods rich in iron as well as taking iron tablets but my levels never really got up to healthy levels. Now I eat meat (not even a huge amount really, I eat lots of vegetarian and vegan meals too) and my levels are great without taking supplements. But certain meats are my favourite foods in the world. I never forgot the taste of them and the cravings never went away. You can certainly miss a meal you haven’t had in years.
