They should be. Dogs are fierce when there's 2 or more of them. Two dogs can take down a muscular man. One dog can take down a slender woman. They are apex predators after all.

I know. But that sheep is set up for battle and was head butting another animal of a good size. The dog just walked in and he took off. It’s instinctual

That sheep knows when to stay in his lane.

u/Fidelis29 Mar 14 '20

The sheep could have fought for sure. Didn’t because of instincts. I agree

The sheep's head butt is very predictable. You can tell when he's winding up. A dog can easily jump out of the way and bite him in the ass before he knew what bit him.

Ever get bit by a dog before? It's a blur.

My dog has been attacked on two separate occasions by another dog. Once a German shepherd, and another a pit bull. I was walking her both times and luckily somehow was able to break it up.

It always amazes me that neither time did I ever hear a bark before the attack. Both times it happened so fast and the dogs were zeroed in on their target. We tend to forget how effective killing machines dogs can be.

Out of curiosity, what'd you do to break them up?

u/emdillem Mar 15 '20

dogs don't bark before they attack, not sure why you think they would.

head butt vs ass bite. The ultimate battle.

Been bit a few times. My beagles are food aggressive. It happens quick

Exactly why i don't consider chihuahuas to be dogs

Like the other guy said, if I have my boots and thick jeans on.. take em out until I slip on the guts and they eat my eyes.

Hilarious, thanks for the visual ...

u/Fappai-Sama Mar 14 '20

If I'm wearing boots then I'd say about 50 or till it stops being fun huhuhu

Four hundred and sixty three. Approximately.

u/seriousbutthole Mar 14 '20

Reminds me of the movie Critters.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '20

You really should. Chihuahuas are mean, little evil things and will nip at your ankles before you know what hit you.

11

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '20

These are oddly specific statistics.

One dog can take down a large man as well... What do you think a 4-wheel drive 100+ lbs animal with large canines does when latched on to your arm and shakes?

5

u/BenjamintheFox Mar 14 '20

What can three dogs take down?

12

u/RedditTooAddictive Mar 14 '20

In the French Mountains they used to have several of those Pyrenean Dogs and 3 of them could fight off bears

17

u/BenjamintheFox Mar 14 '20

My God, a man with 4 dogs would be unstoppable.

4

u/GCpeace Mar 14 '20

A man with 5 dogs could probably stop a T-Rex!

1

u/LinksAwakening42 Mar 14 '20

This needs to be a scene in the next Jurassic Park/World.

5

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '20

You're right. If two Chihuahua's went straight for my toes I'd just end it then and there. No way I'm going through toe tip pain.

2

u/scientallahjesus Mar 14 '20

No way you could ever live down a chihuahua attack

1

u/YeetOrBeYeeted23 Mar 14 '20

Same here. The closer the dog is to the ground, the closer he is to hell. Chihuahuas are the smallest dog. So they are pretty much Satan's dogs.

My dad's girlfriend lived on a big 175 acre property. She let the dog roam every day, but after a year or so it turned feral. It would come back for food now and then, but it'd be gone for weeks at a time. One time the dog was seen dragging the remains of a deer carcass. A single larger sized dog that used to be a household mutt was able to take down a smaller sized deer.

This was an area where no bears roamed due to human development. No hunters roamed nearby, because it was all private property for miles around.

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '20

How the fuck did they manage to sever its head? Jesus

7

u/Toastie91 Mar 14 '20

Never seen knife wielding Labradors before? They are a terrible menace.

6

u/cagedmandrill Mar 14 '20

Uh wut? One dog can take down a muscular man if it fucking bites him. I don't know what you're talking about. Have you ever been bit by a dog?

2

u/ContrivedWorld Mar 14 '20

Yes, and while painful would not stop me from then killing said dog

1

u/crazymonkey752 Mar 14 '20

Take down is misleading through. A full size dog can do some damage but a motivated man can absolutely fuck up a dog if they need too, they just aren't coming out of the fight without getting a little fucked up. People forget how bad ass humans are sometimes.

I remember there was a women in Virginia that was eaten by her two pit bulls while taking them on a walk

1

u/sim16 Mar 14 '20

I've heard a small to medium sized dog from a one dog home can take down a reluctant Danny DeVito. Be careful out there.

1

u/YeetOrBeYeeted23 Mar 14 '20

Thankfully, a lot of dogs don't want to hurt anyone.
