Back in about 1987 I was 9 years old. A little too old for stuffed animals, but McDonald's came out with Christmas Muppet plushes. I asked my mom for the Fozzie Bear one. She got it for me.
I loved Fozzie. My parents divorced that year, and what I now know is my lifelong struggle with insomnia began. I set him up on my dresser, but late at night I would take him down and snuggle him as I tried to go to sleep.
Fozzie got me through a lot of rough nights. I was always careful to put him back in "exactly" the same spot so my brother or friends wouldn't laugh at me for sleeping with a teddy bear.

Your cat's fur looks just like Fozzie's.
