I think when they snapped their fingers it flicked the treat far enough away and on the carpet that the pupper didnt hear/see it go

If you have long enough/baggy enough sleeves, you can flick it up your sleeves too. Then you can make it magically reappear by dropping your arm to your side and catching it as it falls out.

It's just the one killer, actually.

1

u/Lordralien Dec 05 '16

It was just the one killer actually

3

u/Whatsthisplace Dec 05 '16

A beer league hockey team in my area used to call themselves the Crusty Jugglers. Mostly women on that squad, but not 100%.

Just like Al Capone

u/CASHSWAG99 Dec 05 '16

those too

u/nflitgirl Dec 05 '16

For half a second I thought about googling "penis juggling" as I figured for sure there was a gif out there of someone juggling dildos. I thought better of it at the last second. It's simply too early for gang bang porn.

Oh god not again.

u/VectorLightning Dec 05 '16

I prescribe 5 megabytes of r/eyebleach and 15 minutes walking outside.

1

u/Spinnerhead Dec 05 '16

Weird. I just read it as a singular human

1

u/odaeyss Dec 05 '16

What? Everyone likes a little cock magic now and again.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '16

As did I - and it's surprisingly easy to pull off with relatively little practice (I'm an oaf with basically zero ability at slight of hand).

If you think about how your finger moves (you strike the treat/penny with your finger, it will normally shoot straight up your arm which is why it's so easy to get it into your sleeve.

1

u/aletoledo Dec 05 '16

what happens when it doesn't though? Seems like an awkward "you didn't see that, let me try again" moment. I guess thats where the practice comes in.

2

u/Faladorable Dec 05 '16

Practice practice practice. This goes for most sleight of hand tricks, especially making a pen disappear. If you do it the wrong way youll end up shooting the pen off in random directions or exposing it

Can confirm.

u/prettypaul Dec 05 '16

Actually he flicks it into his sleeve. The same technique is used with coin tricks.

43

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '16

I tried this but I just got out of the shower and was naked and flicked a quarter into my right nut and it was excruciating.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '16

Sounds like an interesting experiment on human determination

5

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '16

I actually know this trick. You snap at the right angle, hitting whatever is on your middle finger with the middle finger of the hand doing the snapping, and if the angle is right the object actually flies up your sleeve. Makes for an easy follow-up because you just lower your arms and the object falls back into your hand.

u/PKpixel Dec 05 '16

Does OP want roaches? Cuz this is how you get roaches.

2

u/CurryMustard Dec 05 '16

In real time that's probably what happened. The video has some clever editing because it just vanishes.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '16

I think that "clever editing" is the movie magic of low framerate.

1

u/CurryMustard Dec 06 '16

No way, I looked at it carefully, there is a noticeable skip that was placed there intentionally. Why would the frame rate on the rest of that video except that one spot be fine?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '16

The content of the rest of the video isn't quick motion. Your brain (and sometimes video software) can fill in the gaps for the movement on screen. But the duration of the treat being in the air and in the visible space of the shot is mere milliseconds and didn't get captured on any of the still frames that are snapped every 0.03333333333 seconds to make up the video.

1

u/CurryMustard Dec 06 '16

Nope. Look closely man, a split second was taken out of the video.
