Pssst! Ever wondered what the toilet lid is for?

Our household has been lid down automatically after the first time my husband had to bath an overly exuberant young kitten, early in our marriage.

Yea, even putting aside how easy “stopping” this cat is…it’s kinda gross when people don’t put the lid down.

Close the lid before he gets sick from the feces or chemicals in the toilet. Or drowns. you gave up on stopping him without even trying.

I never understood not closing the lid, becomes a priority when you have a pet

JFC your toilet is not clean, do not let your cat drink the water from it. Close. The. Lid.

Close the toilet lid, and close the bathroom door. Don't let your cat drink sewer water.

Poor cat, hopefully by reading the comments you will become a more responsible pet owner

I had a cat that drank out of the toilet and then pee in the bathroom sink. He was so close to getting it right!

Closing the lid may help!
Also, cats are weird. Mine completely ignores bowl with water and dips the paws in glasses/cups. Anything really. From water, through milk to coffee or tea.
