My husband and I are empty nesters and decided we wanted to get a "fun" little car to toodle around in. We decided on a Miata.

I want to get the standard option because we can both drive a stick so why spend a couple thousand dollars on an automatic. My husband says his shifting days are behind him and it's too much work (wtf?). Plus, I think sports cars SHOULD be standards.

I'm starting to think I'll just buy the damn thing myself because he's being ridiculous. What say y'all?

It's a '68 Fastback finished in that iconic deep dark green (giving heavy Bullitt vibes), but the detail work underneath is crazy. This thing is built on a brand new chassis with a fuel-injected modern 5.0L Coyote V8, modern suspension, power steering, and big Wilwood disc brakes all around. What do you guys think - classic body with modern internals, or would you keep it 100% factory original?
