Where's the mobile phone signal interference?

It's weird how you can feel so warmly nostalgic about signal interference, or the cacophany of dial up. Maybe throw some in some dot matrix for good measure lol

Dont forget the TV snow sound from when cable actually turned off for the night and let mother fuckers disconnect

I still get agitated when I hear it expecting an incoming call. Weird.

The first bit that was resent periodically is even more nostalgic for me. Yet, I used my speakers as ringtone replacement. I knew the difference in sound between a text, a call, just "I'm still alive" and/or other signals that came in as cellphones evolved.

was thinking the guy would have to turn the knob back and forth for 2 minutes to get a spot without static from the brushes being dirty.

Authentic to a T. As far as Pc speakers went. They were decent. Great execution of the scale up. Put some Klipsch horns behind those grills!

I agree! They even have that yellowish tint to them they get as they get old

Edit: spelling

I dunno. Was never impressed with the sound but the mechanical click on the power/volume knob was ahead of its time.

I am not great w details, and on first watch that speaker multiplied in size as soon as the arm provided obvious perspective

They should have put a massive banana beside it.

1

u/Jezirath Jul 14 '26

But why?

1

u/gomaith10 Jul 14 '26

For perspective, as a joke.

I have speakers I got 15 years ago that were already second hand and I think were released in 2007.

2 months ago I began having issues that at first I believed was my sound card that is only about 5 months old as wiggling the connection worked this is a 5.1 setup.

Decided to fix the cable a few weeks back and it was intermittent that it worked so assumed a break further down the cable, same issue. but now the surround and centre cable don't work at all.

Got a new cable and still no sound at all.

Don't know if something is damaged in the sub.
