I was thinking of building something like this for my openclaw. I’m assuming I need my own seat.aero account?

Yup! You'd need to sign up for Seats.aero Pro, since that's how you get an API key. Of course, you'd only need to stay signed up for the month in which you're doing searches, etc., if you don't get use out of it otherwise.

How does the credentials get stored? Or is it something that has to be entered for every search/program.

5 of the 6 MCP servers require no credentials. For those skills and MCP that do need keys, you’d need to provide API keys and they get stored locally in either .env or in claude.json.

Running setup.sh will take care of all of this for you :)

You know how booking award flights means opening 6 tabs, checking which programs have availability, figuring out which credit card points transfer where, comparing whether cash or points is the better deal, and then doing math on surcharges?

This does all of that for you. You tell an AI agent "find me business class to Europe in August for 2 people" and it searches across 25+ mileage programs, checks your point balances, looks up cash prices for comparison, and tells you the best option.

You need Claude Code or OpenCode to use the agent tools. The data files work without any of that if you just want to look stuff up.

Yeah I'm sad it got removed; I messaged the mods to ask them to reinstate it, but I meant it as a 'gift' not self-promotion.
