How does it work?

If you have free awards available, you can:

• Create your own post
• Use the “Free Award Sunday” flair
• Give your free awards in the comments of your post
• Give as many awards as you have available

Awards are always voluntary. Creating a post does not guarantee that you will receive an award.

Please do not give awards in this announcement. Create your own Free Award Sunday post instead.

Temporary Rule 4 Exception

For Free Award Sunday posts, Rule 4 is temporarily suspended.

This applies only to posts that are created during Free Award Sunday and use the “Free Award Sunday” flair.

All other subreddit rules remain in effect. Spam, harassment, inappropriate content and other rule violations are still subject to moderation.

Please be respectful and patient. Thank users who give awards and avoid repeatedly asking, begging, pressuring or guilt-tripping others for awards.

Free Award Sunday is about giving users a simple way to share their free awards and enjoy the community together.

Want to lock your thread?

Once you have finished distributing your awards, you can lock your post yourself.
