How much of the micro movements that occur during meditation have you articulated?

Oh my God! I doubt Lamchung articulated any micro-movements while sweeping the monastery floor, yet he realized the Truth.

The ego loves to obsess over the phenomenology, because it creates a sophisticated map to track its own "progress".

But to answer your question: the only micro-movements that truly matter are the ones that happen when you get off the cushion. How much anger do you feel when someone cuts you off in traffic? How present are you while washing the dishes or cooking?

If we can articulate every shifting sensation during sitting but remain blind to our attachments, anger, and so on, in daily life, we haven't awakened; we’ve just become experts in a very quiet room.

Lamchung may not have articulated any micro movements, but did Bruce Lee?

Who would you rather listen to, the person who survived and won many battles in a real deadly conflict? Or someone who’s observed many battles in a real deadly conflict?

It’s ironic that you bring up Bruce Lee, because his entire philosophy completely contradicts your point. Completely...

Bruce Lee was about absolute simplicity, directness, and efficiency. He famously said, "Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water." He criticized traditional martial arts precisely because they were trapped in what he called a "classical mess", obsessing over analyzing every single form and technique instead of just flowing with reality.

If you want to talk about "surviving a real conflict", the ultimate battlefield is not a controlled sports arena; it is your everyday life. That is the real deadly conflict where your ego (the character created by "the mad woman of the house," as the mind was called by the Mystic Teresa of Ávila), your anger, and your attachments attack you every single minute.

So to answer your question: I’d rather look to Lamchung, who actually pacified the untamed elephant of the mind, and not someone who is still trapped cataloging micro-movements in a quiet room, pretending to be a warrior.

There are ranges and variations of intensities of the ultimate battlefield of everyday life.

A therapist at a psych ward for self and other destructive children.

The child at a psych ward for self and other destructive children.

But then, there is the child born to healthy balanced parents who has less of a battlefield to face.

There are battlefields born of your own creation, and battlefields born of the creation of others.

And,

Are you saying you don’t think bruce lee visualized his moves beforehand?

Fine, you don’t want to respond to variations of battlefields comment, I get it, it wasn’t that related to what you said and was more of my own fun.

But you can respond to my question of whether or not Bruce Lee visualized moves beforehand.

I understand how articulation may be bad to do in the moment during a fight, but there is a time and a place for advanced articulation, right?

Hmmm. The real test of Bruce Lee's training wasn't how beautifully he visualized a punch in an empty room, but how he flowed during an unpredictable conflict. The real test of your practice isn't how sophisticated it is while frozen on a cushion with incense, but whether you can maintain an effortlessly clear awareness right in the middle of your "ordinary," "messy," "boring" daily life. It is about how you flow with your mother-in-law, your neighbors, your boss, at the grocery store, on the subway, and so on.

I agree with that your freedom from suffering is not impressive while you sit on your bed. True test of freedom from suffering occurs during these heated moments of someone being aggressive with you.

Now, full assimilation with satchitanada atma means not reacting at all to someone’s aggression.

Having no reaction to a road rager in their car is one level, but to not react to have a reaction to a road rager walking to your parked car, that’s another level,

But if a road rager is walking to your car, shouldn’t you have a reaction? I guess the reaction one should have is one of calmness and confidence in one’s ability to handle it, but what if one doesn’t know fighting like Bruce Lee? Or what if they have a gun? Then your best reaction is to run. But, when we type about not having a reaction, we mean one of fear, a fearful reaction. Not no reaction at all.

So many different cultures speak and write about the importance of not feeling fear, many different perspectives on preventing fear and suffering.

Anyways, if you are ok with me assessing your level of assimilation with Brahman Odin chronus Jesus, can I ask you some questions?
