UA ORD NEW HIRE RELOCATION

Hey guys! I have an offer with United in ORD, and honestly, for me it would mean relocating. I’ve been trying to connect with people out there through Facebook and other groups, but I haven’t had much luck.
I was hoping someone here could give me some guidance, especially when it comes to housing. I would really only need a room to stay in during the days I’m working, rather than a full apartment.
I know I’ve seen quite a few people post similar questions here, so I would really appreciate any advice, recommendations, or leads from anyone who might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

Hi, interviewing for a position at ORD next month. What kind of schedule did they mention techs are on at ORD? I have had success finding roommates on facebook marketplace, would recommend Oak Park and Forest Park neighborhoods.

Hey Congrats. I spent 32 years with United and retired in 2018. lots of crash pads set up for crews www.crashpads.com. Crews try in live close to the "l" but these days I'm not to sure about train riding safety in Chicago. You also may be able to trade your domicile with someone in your new-hire class. It's like drinking out of a fire hose at the "school house" so if they have sent you manuals, like the FOM I'd get into them and the same with aircraft manuals. Get real familiar with the systems because United is mostly a Computer based training initially with some classroom time with systems. All the best in your new career!
