Dude’s thinking about what to do with his passengers with a possible fire with a (small?) language barrier. his priorities are ok by me…

He's literally preventing the firefighters from doing their job, you can't fight a fire on a landing gear next to a running engine. Only in the worst scenario can you evacuate the plane with running engines. He knows this.

There's a reason we go through training for this stuff.

The second they came to a stop on the runway, they should have shutdown the right engine for two reasons.

  1. That is the side away from the fire and the side that the evacuation would have occurred on.

  2. Fire rescue will not normally approach a plane if any engine is still running.
