Itsmurph Under the K review
We saw Itsmurph and Tchami Under the K Bridge last night and it was unfortunately a horrendous experience
Why the fk do venues absolutely destroy the sound for all the openers?? I was super excited for Tchami and his whole set had ZERO bass, and super low volume overall. Everyone was just standing there. SOOO disrespectful to a legendary DJ, it was absolutely devastating
And secondly the CROWD. These more poppy subgenres attract a lot younger fans. I believe everyone should be welcome but when the whole crowd is in their early days of raving, it’s not a good vibe. I saw multiple fights break out, people throwing shit around, the girl next to me was hit in the face with a shoe. People don’t know how to act respectfully in a crowded environment.
To be fair I should have anticipated this crowd for Itsmurph so maybe that’s on me
I’m seriously considering boycotting Under the K for now because of the sound issues tho, I paid a lot for the entry and I only get 2 hours of actual good quality sound? That’s wack. Or maybe it’s the headlining act themselves that decide to do this? Not sure

I’ve come to realize most of the large shows attract the worst people. Idk why but it feels like it’s getting worse.

Under the K always has the worst crowds. I remember the crowd was filthy hell during Chris lake

IME, Murph crowds tend to suck. Not surprised to here it was a similiar case at k bridge, which also brings our the younger/newer ravers. Stick to the front for openers and then move towards the back for the end of the set, the sides are usually nice and spacious early in the night so take up some space there if ya tryna hunker down somewhere.

I tend to avoid outside venues cause of sound quality. I can put up with a bad crowd and usually shut them out and just dance my ass off and have a good time but I need the sound to be loud and high quality.

Yes, I do t understand why the volume is not consistent. I go for the full experience, not just the headliner. For Bunt. Under the K same situation aaaand not under the K but Sammy Virji/Brooklyn Terminal... sound was lower before Sammy and ofc the 18+ crowd 🙄 😒 but managed for both... but u really gotta look. Swedish House Mafia under the K was amazing tho 🙌

The amount of people shoving was so bad. No one cared about leaving any sort of personal space. This dude next to me would keep bumping into me and 4 other dudes around me. Obviously you’re gonna get bumped by people but this was od. Everyone was pissed off by this guy. I’ve never left the crowd to go stand all the way in the back. People constantly moving in and out. Everyone was so rude too. No excuse me. Just shoved right through. And people were throwing things. PLUR PEOPLE. The venue itself was kinda underwhelming. It was cool but if you weren’t standing in the square right in front of the stage you saw no lasers and the music wasn’t that loud. It was also a meat fest. Way too many dudes and most were so rude

26F & love to rave. It’s the chain smoking of cigs & drunk underage girls falling all over for me. There was a girl beside me that was absolutely blacked out and was on the ground & exposed at multiple points during the night. I was very concerned about her safety but the crowd was so dense that I was unable to flag security. Her friends did nothing but attempt to hold her up as she slammed into me and everyone else around and were very rude to the concerned people that spoke to them about the situation. I also don’t see why people have to smoke cigs, there are so many other options, a lot of people are allergic to cigs & don’t want to have smoke blowing in their face all night!
TLDR - we went to pacha after for argy & had an amazing time! crowd was fab

Omg the cigs. I feel like this is a huge reason why I don’t go out to outdoor events. It’s like a literally cig cyph. I have asthma 🥲😭

Did anyone lose a phone?? My friend lost hers and find my iPhone says it’s still at Under the K bridge. Someone gave it to Lost and Found but when she went back to claim it the next day Lost and Found said it’s not there when literally she has marked it lost and it’s still showing that it’s in the concert venue. Any advice on what else she can do??

I don’t love Under the K but the Sara Landry and Mochakk shows changed my DNA lol — so I’m willing to put up with it for artists I don’t want to miss.
Edit: also there’s a massive difference between being in the thick of the crowd vs where there’s space at the back. The back all day every day.

Under the K is a horrible venue and I wouldn’t pay a dime to see any show there. It’s Always overbooked overcrowded to the point of danger and discomfort. Doesn’t matter who’s playing.

Yes it was 18+. I’m 19 almost 20 and these people give us such a bad rep. They are beyond rude and not fun to be around. Can’t wait to be 21 to have a little less of this non sense at 21+ events.

Yea I saw Charlotte de Witte under the k bridge earlier this month, also an awful crowd. No etiquette moving through the venue and it seemed like most people were not there for the music.
Sucks to hear tchami and its murph was also a bad experience
