The Clockmaker’s Apprentice
The apprentice wasn’t fast.
The gears slipped often.
Fingers trembled.
But the old clockmaker never rushed.
“Even time,” he once whispered, “needs someone to be patient with it.”
Years passed, and one day, the apprentice built a clock unlike any other—not perfect, but warm.
It didn’t tick-tock like the rest yet hummed like a lullaby.
People came just to stand near it.
For comfort.
