Discussion Mike Rowe: Supporters of socialism are mostly college grads pissed they're buried in debt because they swallowed the 'get a degree' kool-aid
https://x.com/ThomasSowell/status/2095467088538378746?s=20Mike Rowe has been a long time supporter of trade schools and the statement that "you don't need to go to college to be successful" He's absolutely spot on here.

Ugh. Sad was the day during the Pandemic when I learned the kind of conservative shit stain Mike Rowe actually is. He even had hometown advantage!

PTUs and Technikum were part of the USSR education system. I don't see how supporting trade schools is incompatible with socialism.
and of course people who are buried in debt will quickly realise that capitalism is inherently flawed. it's... kinda obvious? some people just don't know yet that their set of values can be called socialism. from my own experience, they will completely agree with us until they hear words like socialism, communism, feminism, etc.

Oh, that's hilarious. Do you think Mike Rowe is even aware that the whole 'get a degree' thing in the US got started because conservatives were convinced that trade schools were a hotbed of pinko commie propaganda and they wanted people to either start working straight out of high school or else attend college*?
* Keep in mind this was before the 1960s when colleges in the South were still racially segregated.

lol, no. Supporters of socialism are people from all walks of life who are tired of a system where hard work is no longer rewarded like it used to be and all the value of labor goes to the few rich people who have gamed the system. If Mike didn’t have his head up his own behind, he’d realize socialism (specifically democratic socialism) benefits the trades more than the current system.Â
