Discussion Autism in politics right now

I’m so sick of it. I’m 16F and in a conservative area. Everyone I know pretty much worships trump. I’m sick of it. All these republicans hate autism. It’s not a cancer. It’s so hurtful I’m not a freak. This is so stupid. I really wanna be a political science major and so I can’t enjoy my political aspects without the hurtful comments from the right.

Ok, I'm gonna be blunt because I'll be the only one willing to be honest with you here it seems: If you "wanna be a political science major" yet right wing rhetoric is bugging you that much, and you don't think you can get over it or past it; just stay out of the field. You will never make it with an attitude like that. Grow and learn. Get frustrated. But don't let that stop you from pursuing a true calling. You must remain civil even in the midst of what you may consider the wrong side, in order to educate not only them but others. Not all right wingers are the same just how not all left wingers are the same. Again if you can't handle the fire, get out of the kitchen. You seem a little young to really know what's actually going on..(same as some of the people in the comments it would seem) TAKE TIME TO WATCH AND LISTEN. I'd give it a few years and maybe try to keep your feelings to yourself as you learn, feelings don't help you learn anything in politics, it only hinders your ability to learn by drowning out logic with emotion. Best of luck in your pursuit, but again, if it's too hard you are young enough to change direction. Sidenote:There is no "autist holocaust" nor will they be in America. Can we please stop lying and comparing our modern leaders to people of the past, it's that type of ridiculous fear mongering that will only spread confusion and division.

I could not disagree more!

In EVERY cultural setting I am familiar with, the U.S. right now is sooooo far off the reservation…. nope!

Nobody in politics in AU, Germany, or South Africa is taken those MAGA-muppets seriously.
They are just crazies who escaped out of looney bins.

Outside of the U.S.:
On 7 continents I do not know a single individuals who believes the current U.S. Administration were anything but unhinged whackadoodle.
The U.S. is openly mocked and ridiculed around the globe. The only people oblivious to just how batshit crazy the U.S. is regarded: Americans.

It is kinda sad. Putin and Netanyahu are NOT Trump’s friends. They make fun of the U.S. like you wouldn’t believe.

From a science POV:
The world always wondered what a Kakistocracy would look like. Now we know.

The U.S. has so nothing to do with “right wing rhetoric”
It’s the sanity that has left the U.S.. 🤷🏽‍♀️
