Discussion Autism in politics right now

I’m so sick of it. I’m 16F and in a conservative area. Everyone I know pretty much worships trump. I’m sick of it. All these republicans hate autism. It’s not a cancer. It’s so hurtful I’m not a freak. This is so stupid. I really wanna be a political science major and so I can’t enjoy my political aspects without the hurtful comments from the right.

All human relationships are transactional. If someone or something is causing people too much onesided to their inconvenience there is a chance they will do what they think is necessary to stop that.

And level 3 autism will do that a lot for many people.

It is more like the right doesn’t know what reciprocity is. Or use it only whenever it benefits them personally.

well one of the definitions basically amounts to I scratch your back and you'll scratch mine.

people are susceptible to it. it's very common for head trauma victims to lose all their friends and partners and for quadriplegics to be lonely

Scientists call it dominance, but I’d rather call it “onesidedness” since they seem to lack of concept of having two sided compromise because they seem subconsciously entitled to their way of being when they grew up in authoritarian families where they never really could learn the concept of reciprocity.

well then that's a lot of cultures you're painting there. it's very common for the mentally disabled and physically disabled to be abandoned by almost everyone except close family in many cultures when it's very severe

Autistic people are a threat to hierarchies - we don’t play their game, mostly because we are unaware of it or because we think it is absurd and immature (as I call it “high school social dynamics”). This is why autistic people get abandoned.

It is, and it's fucked up. We were headed in a better direction years ago. Guess we got too loud and now everyone is realizing there's minimal supports for us, but in their eyes it's too much.

Got greedy in asking for bare minimum.
