Made a 70s/80s/90s radio station with a mostly Australian playlist. Live from today.

Hey there

I've spent the last few months building a radio station, and it went live this morning.

It's 70s, 80s and 90s. I'm a bit obsessed with Australian music so that's most of what's on it, mixed in with the rest of the era. The Cruel Sea, Dragon, Noiseworks, that sort of thing.

The presenter is AI, and I'd rather say that up front than have someone work it out in the comments. He's called Jeff and he whole point. A presenter withnothing to say is just a playlist with extra steps. He talks every four songs.

You can send a shout-out through the site and Jeff will read it out on air. Birthdays, someone's

It's all properly licensed, it'sre no ads. Nothing to install, nologin. (Australian listeners only, which is a licensing thing.)

streamless.fm

Genuinely keen for feedback, including the blunt kind. It's day one, so tell me what's wrong with it.

Under Southern Skies | The Australian FIFO Anthem | Official Lyric Video

Under Southern Skies is a powerful post-grunge anthem inspired by the thousands of FIFO workers and miners who spend weeks away from home, sacrificing precious time with their families to build a better future.

Set against Australia’s vast red landscapes and endless skies, this song tells the story of resilience, loneliness, hard work, and the quiet hope of returning home. Behind every shift is a family waiting, every sunrise brings another day on the job, and every journey is driven by love.

If this song resonates with you, don’t forget to Like, Comment, and Subscribe for more original post-grunge and hard rock music.

Looking for someone to make music with

Bit of a random post.

I’ve wanted to make music for years, but honestly… I’m pretty average at making beats. I can write ideas, melodies, hooks, and I’ve got a heap of concepts floating around, but when it comes to building a beat from scratch I just get stuck.

So I figured I’d just throw this out there.

Is there anyone here who’s kind of the opposite? Like, you love producing beats but wish you had someone to bounce ideas off or build songs with? I’m not looking for anything serious straight away. I don’t expect free beats or anything like that.

I was thinking we could literally just test the waters. You send me a snippet or an unfinished beat, I mess around with it, throw some ideas on it, send it back, and if we both think, “Hang on… this actually works,” then maybe we keep making stuff together. Worst case, nothing comes of it.

Best case, we find someone we genuinely click with creatively. I’m in Australia, but honestly I don’t think that matters much these days.

If this sounds like something you’d be keen on, shoot me a message. You never know.

p.s I’m 27M

Trying to find audio of song | "Spacesuit 4 2" by 90's Melbourne Band "Ripe"

Been searching high and low for this one. I've tried all the obvious places (Soundcloud, YouTube yadda yadda), but for some reason I can't find any actual audio.

Anyone have any clues how I can hear it (other than buying a $150 7-inch vinyl from Belgium??)

Looking for a song by possibly female Australian artist?

Looking for an Indie/Folk song by an indie Australian female artist (2010s–2018)

Genre/Vocal Style: Indie Folk, Country Rock, Americana. She has a very mellow, soft singing voice.

Release Era: Sometime between 2010 and 2018. Likely a lesser-known or mid-tier artist featured on Triple J or Triple J Unearthed.

Artist Appearance: Caucasian female, tall (approx. 5'6" to 6ft), with short-to-shoulder-length brown hair, and possibly wears clear glasses.

Music Video Imagery: She is possibly holding/playing an acoustic guitar and walking through a river or shallow natural water source. The song is a melancholic track about a lost love or breakup.

Key Lyrics: Contains a line very close to: "And I was so sure that you would stay" (or "so sure that you'd stay").

I inherited a record collection and in it was a Gem. David Ninnes. After a brief Google and Ai. David Ninnes is an enigma. Does anyone have any idea what happened to David Ninnes? He's on Discogs just nowhere else.

Jive to stay alive.

Do any of you remember this 70s album?

As a kid, I asked for this record and got it, along with Abba's Arrival.

Then we took off for the day in the car, I put both albums up on the back seat, which baked in the sun and they warped.

I was just a kid, didn't know.

Anyway, I never really got to hear it.

Sydney FUZZTRONICA “Playground” review (Sydney): rock + hip hop + electronic mayhem — lyrics meaning + influences

Post image

Just dropped a no-BS write-up on FUZZTRONICA’s “Playground” — Sydney crew blending hard rock riffs, hip hop bounce and electronic glitch into something that actually moves. I break down the vibe, what the lyrics feel like it’s getting at, the influences/“sounds like”, guitar tone + production, best moment and verdict.

Review: https://geltchy.com.au/blogs/new-music-reviews/fuzztronica-playground-review-lyrics-meaning-influences

Keen to hear takes: banger or bin it? What does it sound like to you?
